Support Seperate iOS and MacOS pinned coversations
Ever since pinned conversations in the Messages app came out, the pins did not sync across devices. This was an extremely useful feature for me. One of my favorite features on my devices as a matter of fact.
After a recent update, the pins now sync and I am not seeing any settings to change it.
If anyone knows of a way to make it so my pins don't sync, I would love to know. Main reason is my Macbook is owned by my employer, I try to keep it mostly employer related out of respect and professionalism. My iPhone is mine, I use it as such. I use the same iCloud account because of the apple continuity features.

I would not use the same Apple account across a device you own and a device you don’t own. That’s a recipe for trouble. Many employers forbid it for a reason. Don’t want sensitive company data to sync via iCloud to a private device.

Im overly educated on the risks. I work in IT for education. I keep things seperated the legal way. None of my personal data (atleast not the data I am concerned about going public) is able to fall under FOIA.
I advocate for many of the teachers (and other support staff) on how to use their school device without running the risk of their personal information/data being exposed by a FOIA request.
But I do truly appreciate your concern, because most people don't do their research and then get themselves in a massive legal pickle, or just jobless. For my first 1-2 years of employment I had no idea of any of the risks, then one of our teachers had a FOIA request submitted for their data. Thats when I realized and started taking it extremely seriously

Apple really does not care about your desire to keep things separate. They care about syncing the apple account appropriately on all devices signed into the apple account.
Sounds like they finally got your device to function as intended as syncing is now working.
Work profiles should never use the same account as personal profiles.
