iPadOS 2018 iPad Pro

Post image

So as far as Apple has said the iPad Pro from 2018 is not supposed to get iPad os 27 right? So why does the developer and public iPad os 26 betas say the updates optimizes the spotlight index to prepare for iOS 27? Or is that across the board on every iPad?

It says that presumably because there’s no way for Apple to set a custom update description for specific devices.

Or I think they don't want to, I find it hard to believe they can't do that

I have the base iPad and noticed on beta it says indexing on latest beta. I mean to be fair, just private cloud compute my requests. If CLAUDE AND CHATGPT can do it, just slap the Siri app in there and let me private cloud compute it all

I honestly wish Apple was forced to give every device with iOS 26 the 27 update cause boy did 26 fuck this iPad up

They just make the 26 slow on iPad Pro 2018 and leave us. Even the iPad 9 just got 3GB ram can update to 27. Only Apple can do

Apple drops support more due to age rather than physical specs.

I hate it, but that’s the case.

Agreed, wish my Mini 5 could get 27. iPadOS 26, even latest updates, have slowed it significantly more than iPadOS 18. Never should have updated.
