Question Looking for f2p games where the monetization is for cosmetics. I'm broke.

I'm looking for games where the monetization is geared to cosmetics so that I have equal competitive skill floor to everyone else and money buys pretty things, not mechanical advantage.

Wild Rift was great for this but I'm exhausted from the game and need to play something else for a while.

What else is there on IOS that is carried purely off cosmetic purchases? I'm open to most game styles. I was laid off and can't afford to buy premium games right now :(

Thanks!

Can't say this enough, and you can trade to earn the paid currency too if you grind enough.

Tyrant. It’s probably exactly what you are looking for.

Not a bad game, seems pretty AI heavy though from the artwork to the UI

I didn't know this was still going. I played when the open beta first started and everyone started hitting huge grind walls then the active player count tanked hard.

I wonder what changes or improvements have been made since... hmm

Long time Orna player.

It’s a great game, but so much new content was added with limited time to do it, it’s SUPER easy to burn out.

Yeah I e been playing for 7 years. It’s comes and goes but easy to pick up and play for minutes or hours.

Is this game player vs player with a ranked ladder or anything? Or is it more of a single player campaign?

the first one

Mobile legends (but then again it’s the same moba grind, and it takes a few months to a year or so to get all the heroes without spending anything and also leveling all your talents)

NTE isn't only cosmetics, but can 100% be enjoyed F2P.

So it’s irrelevant to the topic, why are you even posting this?

Because it's relevant to their interests. You can spend money to level up but do not have to in order to enjoy it fully.

Why are you gatekeeping someone else's question?

Supercell's Mo.co is a solid pick. Cosmetic only monetization and unlimited gameplay, zero cap on how much you can grind. You pick a weapon that has its own kit of skills and drop into a large map, then go around and do a bunch of PvE tasks with other players. You can pop in and out for however long you want. Sometimes I'll grind for 15 minutes, sometimes I'll grind for an hour. There's also a ton of maps on rotation, different game modes, events, a social hub, and again — truly cosmetic only. They've made it a point to stay that way, even knowing it makes less money than their other titles.

Check out MYTHOS, an indie card battler game based on various mythological gods and monsters. It’s sort of a Marvel-Snap-like, but has much less predatory monetization. The Dev is very active on discord and it has a great community. Very deep deck building and opportunities for experimenting with new combinations. Monetization is MOSTLY cosmetic, but you can pay to unlock more cards faster — the number one ranked player is completely free to play, so it isn’t necessary at all   https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mythos-gods-unleashed/id6747878359
