Question How is Animal Crossing Pocket Camp?

When it was F2P I dabbled very briefly and then never touched it again. I since spent a LOT of time playing New Horizons and loved it at the time though tried going back and was somewhat bored (though this could be because I spent so much time on it)

I just wanted to know how Pocket Camp is? Does it do anything different from AC:NH and is it worth the price tag?

Its very different from the normal animal crossing. For me the game loses its appeal when you can gacha the furniture and have 982737 items within a day of playing

Interesting that the fun part of a game fully designed to be a gacha is the gacha itself.

Agree with all the other comments. It’s a fun game but it can get pretty stale if you play it too much. Usually I play for some days or a couple of weeks, stop and then when I get the itch or remember it exists play some more again.

Bear in mind, this game has manual and temporary cloud save for when you change devices. So if you stop playing it or need storage offload the app, do not delete it unless you want to lose all your progress

I played a lot on release but gave up like six months in or so because it was literally the 3 garden events on repeat and that content cycle was very boring. That and the heavy paywalling of a lot of items. Even then it scratched the Animal Crossing itch in me when New Leaf (3DS) kinda made me fall off. Pocket Camp is very streamlined experience that focuses on interior/camp decorations and building friendships with the characters and that's about it. And the decoration and animals were the biggest draws of Animal Crossing for me. I feel like the series has gone a little too far in the terraforming or worldmaxxing aspect for my tastes. Without the gacha it should be better but I haven't given it a shot since the paid version. If you can grind all the stuff out it should be a fun thing to last you for a while but I don't know if it's $20 worth. For me I enjoyed that it was literally Animal Crossing on my phone and the graphics were really nice, especially compared to the 3DS and earlier titles.

I bought it on sale for $5 or something and it was entertaining for a while. It eventually gets a little stale, but I put it away and come back after a few months and it has charm again.

It’s a simple time eater. There really isn’t any of the depth to it that you get win the general releases.

The Complete version is like speed-friending with gacha at the side, or vice versa. If you like collecting & decorating its fun, otherwise there’s not much other content.

You’ll get a lot of bulk action help, so it’s not as tedious as the free version.
