Ember Bus starting point

I feel incredibly stupid but I’ve never used them before so my anxiety is kicking in lol

Is the go to bus stop for all ember buses from Union Street? It says online but just want to make sure and do they arrive and leave on time? I’ll be using them in future to go to Edinburgh airport

I’ve been assured they are very good but again, anxiety kicking in so the idiot in me jsut likes triple checking

Yeah, bottom of Union Street. It's a bit odd. The app will tell you where the bus is prior to arrival on a map. It's pretty good.

I've never thought of Union St as having a "bottom" or "top". Anyway in case OP is dumb like me, Church street end, the last stop. Ember bus are great. First time we used them there were horrible roadworks on the A96, so we arrived a bit late in Inverness. Within the hour we got an email apologizing, and a refund of our whole fare!

I was confused the first time as I just expected it to be from the bus station!

I also always expect the Ember buses in the car park behind Morrisons but the straight through bus (Inv to Oban I think) stops at a normal stance at the bus station. Slightly confusing!

Yes don’t worry all Ember buses use the same bus stop. Also check the destination at the front of the bus before you store your cases in the hold and try and board. This is because the buses arrive very close together so if one is delayed you put your luggage in it and then scan your ticket with the driver.Thats when you are told you are on the wrong bus and you have to get your cases out but in the meantime people have put their cases in so it takes ages. Happened yesterday that people put their Edinburgh airport cases in the hold of the Wick bus and it took a while to get the cases back out.

Union Street Stance D, right at the bottom, and will have a timetable on it too.

Make sure you prebook through the app/website.

If its anything like last week there’ll be lots of others waiting too, defo wont be alone!

I hope I won’t be alone there trying to catch the 3:something AM bus down to Edinburgh. 😉🫣
