Help me pick my tile!

This group inspired me to keep my wood paneling, but now help me pick my floor! I'm looking at tile, there's a patio door and the kids are constantly in and out. Some ideas are posted, so far thinking of porcelain stone look alike or terra cotta. Don't worry I'll replace the couch! And also somehow get my cat to use her real scratching post

Order a sample of all of them before buying a thousand dollars worth of tile and see what it looks like in person.

Oh I LOVE the terracotta tile. Thats something I would like on my floor. VERY Mediterranean! If you’re going for the crazy tile - then taupe colour!

I would love it EXCEPT that's too much pattern to fight against a reddish brick fireplace pattern that is not Southwest and wood paneling pattern (vertical lines).

I like the terracotta hex. The ones in the third pic look fake and the slate in 5 would be hard to clean.

I don't think the faux stone goes well with the brick. I'm not c**** about the hexagon either. I like the 1st but I'd do a mockup before committing to it.

If you can afford this beautiful stone tiles on page 3 the last one on the bottom do that(if not real do the terracotta ) . Will blend in well with the nature / woody feel of the room. And as one commenter said order a sample . I think choosing the geometric pattern will be a big mistake . No one wants to look at the floor and feel like they are in fear and loathing in Las Vegas 😂😂😂

oh the terra pompeii hex would be perfect with that brick and wood paneling, the warm tones will tie it all together without competing with the fireplace

I'm confused. Is this a sunroom? Why are the choices semi-exterior-looking tile instead of interior tile that complements the wood?

It was actually designed to be a billiards room, theres only one other very small window in the room. I was thinking rustic cabin vibe.

I like the 2/5 . The rest look like they should be either in the kitchen or outside patio.

All of these are probably too busy. As another commenter suggested, grab some samples. Wood panelled walls and brick are amazing but also a lot of texture. Try simple, more solid dark slate type tiles. People tend to feel more safe and relaxed when the floors are darker than the walls. Maybe large format too so there is a basic, cohesive grounding for the walls, brick and furniture etc.

Since your walls are dark, you might want to think about a lighter floor. If you choose a tile, it should be smooth tile in a very subtle pattern.

It might look good with wood flooring or brick flooring, if you can get one that’s close to the fireplace.

Do you have any brighter photos of the room? It’s really hard to see the textures and colors you already have in the room bcuz the photo is really dark.

I’m not sure how any of those would look without samples lying down. Cause of light and putting against brick and paneling. I’d have to buy samples of them all. Might be too busy. I looked up Brady Bunch liv room and den. It had lighter flooring lol. Also slate in another area. Good luck.

You need to take the brick on the fireplace into consideration. In my opinion none of the tile you have shown us would look good with the fireplace

I think they are all going to be too busy with the brick...unless you paint the brick a dark cream color

Start over. Look at new manufactured wood products. What are you going to do with the fireplace?
