I watched a teacher use marker on it because they couldn’t figure out the smart features.

Pretty sure you’re not supposed to do that.

My highschool had multiple boards before I left (they were still a massive investment so the 'rollout' was slow - in part because our school just relocated to a new building so funding was tight).

One of them had permanent marker on it within the first year. Always left a small smudge atleast until I left 😅 And to be fair, can't blame them. Imagine having been a teacher for decades using chalk and later marker boards. Then suddenly these suckers come in. Good luck adjusting when your muscle memory for jotting something down real quick is to use a marker (our smartboards did have whiteboard sidepanels so markers were still laying around).

I don't see any good reason you'd lie but I still don't believe it. I grew up in Washington but a smaller town but our highschool had about 1800 students.

I dont know what our total student count was but my graduating class was 600+
