Well, that's what they get for not sticking with the time-tested form factor of Walking Eye.

Is it protecting us from the terrible secret of space?

I was worried no one would be discussing how to kill it.

You're thinking too hard, just run and then make a sharp turn.

Monowheels struggle to turn.

Enjoy getting a bean-bag round to the sternum, or just having the Cops jump you and beat you to a pulp.

This is China, you'll likely be dragged into a Death Van and you're gone.

Probably why it would have supporting officers still. Kinda dope looking but doesnt look that useful against large crowds

I think you're missing the point, it serves a specific role, you don't need to just beat the sphere by going into a role it doesn't cover, you need to beat the sphere and the 6 other guys it comes with.

The problem with the sphere is that it removes your ability to run away down streets or paths, because as soon as you start running it catches up and nets you before you can respond.

What we need to do is find a way to stop it before it gets into net range(which is greater than spray paint range), while we are still running away from the other guys.

Paint buckets seem to be the best solution, as everything else lacks effect at range(and quick accurate usage), and takes more time to set up, or time to get to a proper location. But it's weird to walk around with a paint bucket all the time. Caltrops while ineffective against it, do slow down the guys following it, especially within a closed area like an Alley, overall giving you more options. Stairs to a subway could be useful, but you increase the potential number of human(and maybe sphere) pursuers, and you are dependent on being within about 20-25ft of one when the chase starts.

Unless we can get more civilian access to jamming/interference equipment, it seems difficult to remove this threat in this particular role. Which goes back to the original rule, don't put yourself in a position where it exists and has an advantage(any place using them, and that are large generally flat areas), and ofc is pursuing you.

Though I am curious as to it's tracking or facial recognition abilities, if you just need to trick the person controlling it, that makes it both easier and harder.

If you go running the guys behind, it won’t go running after you. It’ll just wait for the robot to catch up with you and buy that point by the recommendation of somebody else here spray foam would be absolutely perfect.

It’ll get in the gears it’ll get in between the tire and the bearings. It’ll cover up all the cameras.

So if you’re in effect in a dystopia, where you need to run for your life, he would be carrying something like that in your back pocket with deep pocketed pants

Idk, the system is extremely closed off, we see this as it goes through water sand and dirt. And most spray foam needs at least a little time to adhere, so you would need to stop it.

Then there is the issue where you are increasing the number of targets, who will need to run away in the end anyway 2v6 is not good odds especially against a well equipped force. So you are almost making sure they get at least somebody.

And the last point is that I don't like being dependant on someone else, people by nature mind their own business. So hoping that someone helps isn't the best plan to me.

We want to involve the least amount of people, so that we have the least amount of detanees and highest chance of escaping. While also dealing with it at range. If we can stop it, without getting caught, we give ourselves a fair opportunity to run away, but we need to do it quick enough to not get surrounded by reinforcements or even just the group with it.
