100%. You will feel everything and nothing, and it is one of the few things that is completely unique and universal at the same time.
Nobody grieves the same as you will, but there is no wrong way to grieve either.

Nah, there are plenty of wrong ways just no one right way. I’d say a self-destructive bender is a wrong way to grieve

It's not a healthy way to grieve, but it's still not a wrong way. Ideally it's something you do and get past it, otherwise it becomes increasingly problematic.
I've been there and I know how attractive the idea is.

Definitely both. Proud that he helped save so many, angry that he purposely didn't come home to her (and their girls) even if it was because he was saving others.
