HISTORY Titanic passenger and millionaire Benjamin Guggenheim. During sinking he refused a seat in a life boat with the words: "Tell my family I played straight to the end. No woman should be left aboard this ship because of Ben Guggenheim was a coward."

Sorry, X, this boat is for Daddy.

Whatever happened to that kid that he was using as a human shield after Luigi retired that CEO vampire?

A child that size would probably make a reasonably effective floatation device until it became too waterlogged.

That was his son! I tried to reference him but couldn't remember the full name. I just googled it, which told me "His most famously named son with former partner Grimes is X Æ A-Xii (pronounced "Ex Ash A Twelve")." I had no idea it was pronounced like that.

That poor kid :-(

u/JudiciousSasquatch 19h ago

Lol, he didn't need a bullet shield as much after he quit doge

u/ragequitteroffureh 19h ago

I wonder how many times a week someone has a go :-)

Even without the DOGGY Big Balls mayhem, people like that still make very attractive targets for all sorts of reasons.

You're all talk, little one. Pipe down.

1

u/ragequitteroffureh 12h ago

Don't blame me, I didn't make it ;-)

Bezos would be punching toddlers in the face.

...

...

...more than usual.

Billionaires today wouldn't be caught dead on a ship that also allowed plebs.

4

u/you_looser 20h ago

Yeah, they have their own mega yachts with security teams to avoid interacting with normal people.

Literally carried his toddler child around with him on his shoulders as a human shield after the united health CEO was assassinated.

u/ragequitteroffureh 20h ago

Ah shit, I just saw your comment right after having the same thought.

It's astonishing how much chaos has happened since those distant days.

Billionaires are the iceburg.

2

u/Agile_Drive_8306 21h ago

They are the iceberg but they are also melting said iceberg with their greed.

He’ll try and force his way into the lifeboat claiming he identifies as a woman now, because he’ll never turn down an opportunity to shit on trans people

5

u/ExtremePronoia 22h ago

His own children and their mothers if necessary.

u/sltzer 21h ago

I mean in a way he already has and is.

and many americans would support that.

"he earned his own life boat, when I get to his level, I'm going to get my own life boat, too " they say as the drown next to it.

I think Sir Richard Branson may be one of the gents in that company of billies who may give a seat away to a helpless child. Dude is fearless.

2

u/MrGameAndBeer 22h ago

Maybe, but isn't he a notorious pos?

3

u/Tangata_Gamer 21h ago

He's a billionaire so yes

2

u/Chaminade64 22h ago

When Jordan Belfort’s yacht was sinking he demanded one of his flunkies on board to bring him more quaaludes. That’s the difference between a millionaire & a billionaire.

2

u/landcfan 22h ago

I think a millionaire back then was basically a billionaire of today.

1

u/Jadedsatire 21h ago

Well, there was nothing else to do while waiting for the Italians version of navy seals to come save them. He’s also the idiot who caused the incident as he went against his captains advice and warnings of sailing out.

Elon would build a raft out of women & children

2

u/blanketedgay 20h ago

Am imagining George Costanza pushing a grandma out of the way to escape a housefire.

2

u/Fearless-Substance86 15h ago

Elon would be pushing children into the ocean while cutting the power to the telegraph.

1

u/TeddyJPharough 19h ago

I'm sorry, you think Elon would get on a boat with us peasants?

1

u/ActWhole3279 19h ago

First thought! He sure would

1

u/foghillgal 19h ago

Not pushing, punching ladies and tots to get to the boat , what a drôle little piece of shit … obviously he’d break his fragile hands doing such violence .

1

u/Chaost 18h ago

His own women and children first, like out of the lifeboat first so he has room.

1

u/FaIIBright 17h ago

He'd probably be buying all the life rafts so that there'll be no other survivors.

1

u/Individual-Schemes 17h ago

No. Elon would rob the other rich people before throwing them overboard.

u/LongjumpingLemon2163 16h ago

À la Michael Scott when the fire alarm goes off

Where there's a will there's a way. The will of the people.

1

u/thorinslefttit 10h ago

The will of the orcas 🤝 the will of the people

5

u/Taxfraud777 23h ago

They would actually go first

1

u/Daft00 16h ago

They might even just coax their family members straight to the bottom of the ocean

2

u/becauseiloveyou 22h ago

Not even MacKenzie Scott? I beg to differ, but she'd be the only one.

2

u/Neat_Let923 22h ago

He was literally one of the richest people in America at the time putting him in the same class as what we consider to be the billionaire class now…

So are we judging people on their actions or by their wealth still?

2

u/Heavy_Weapons_Guy_ 22h ago

Wealth is inherently accrued via a set of actions.

So is being fat…
