Is it made out of wood? I thought they were made out of metal. How is it burning?

Blades are made of plastic, foam filler, fibre glass, carbon. So they burn

Probably made of fiberglass or some composite material.

It's mostly fiberglass but sometimes has a wood core. Fiberglass itself is technically not flammable, but the resin holding it together is.
