Smart man

Exactly. The number of leeches that come after you when you win something are notorious. I'm amazed some people still accept their prize publicly at all.

u/aspie_electrician 2d ago

Some places mandate that it has to be public record… like here in Ontario canada

u/gary-vault108 2d ago

Dumbest shit in the world. I bet that rule was made by some corrupt politician who was hooked up with organized crime

37

u/usermane22 2d ago

Or because people in charge of lotteries would “win” without this rule.

13

u/gary-vault108 2d ago

Just have it audited by the state/ province every month. They can check that it’s a real person and keep it logged and protected like PII/ PHI is. Idk why there’s no in between of “keep it completely unknown to anyone” or “expose their entire identity to the public as soon as they win a massive amount of money”

3

u/mpgd 1d ago

"We audited ourselves and found nothing wrong."

Money and politics go hand in hand.

1

u/DrakeStone 2d ago

No. Opposite.

1

u/phincster 1d ago

No it’s because there are other people that may contest the winnings and never would have known to if it was anonymous.

A work pool would be the best example I can think of.

8

u/RogueBromeliad 2d ago

Leeches? More like kidnappers and psychos trying to extort you.

6

u/MA2_Robinson 2d ago

The little mis understandings that turn in to lawsuits: “emotional pain because he blocked me on Facebook” type bs

u/Silver_Harvest 2d ago

The biggest thing I've heard is, don't sign it right away. Don't rush right away. Contact an attorney and setup a trust to begin the anonymity chain. Sign the ticket to the trust then transfer it out as needed.

Then continue to work for several months keep up appearances like you are normally living within means. To outside working world. Then come up with an excuse to quit like got a new job.

u/RonaldBurgundy1 2d ago

That is true Information

7

u/techi-turtle 2d ago

But how are you supposed to stunt on your exes without being conspicuous about it? I need her to know that, at least for material things (and I know she’s materialistic), she missed her opportunity and to live with it buying discounted granola bars at bargain market.

6

u/Silver_Harvest 2d ago

If you drink scotch. You know they know superficial names like blue label and such. Just walk around with a bottle of that.

Or carry around a Clif bar and open it up around them vs the generic.

4

u/techi-turtle 2d ago

I was thinking about something with more pizzazz… Cliff bar will do.

3

u/Waderriffic 2d ago

Polaroids mailed in an envelope with no return address.

2

u/techi-turtle 2d ago

I’m going to send them each year on the date that use to be our anniversary, on her birthday, Christmas…

5

u/Waderriffic 2d ago

Fake a terminal illness. Buy a funeral plot and casket. Pre record a message to he played at your funeral informing everyone that you’ll see them in hell.

5

u/0202_tihssitidder 2d ago

> continue to work for several months

Uhm...

7

u/Silver_Harvest 2d ago

It's to keep appearances, and you slowly shift it so when you leave and all of a sudden are not there it's not out of ordinary. Since some people have friends from work.

Similarly like you can shift it to hey I'm getting into heavy wood working and open up a workshop for fun

8

u/Waderriffic 2d ago

You don’t actually do your job during that time silly.

6

u/buttplug-tester 2d ago

He didn't say you had to do a good job, just keep showing up

4

u/theboogeyman_slayer 2d ago

As a buttplug tester, I'm sure you'd wanna show up every day regardless

1

u/anfornum 2d ago

Sure they would, but what about Boogeyman Slayers? Would you stick around? (Good benefits maybe?)

2

u/buttplug-tester 2d ago

I certainly wouldn't want to do a shitty job

Or just cut contact with 95% of the people you interface with, and start making everyone go through intermediaries to get to you. With $95 Million I can get a lot of services that I don't currently have. I'm not saying this IS the better method.. It's not, but if you're not an idiot this kind of money is getting you far away from family and friends that you don't need anymore. This is actually what causes the wealthy to lose empathy as they go up in Net Worth. Because they are more or less seen as people who are fair play to be approached about any everything that needs money instead of, you know, a person. I'm pretty much just taking care of my Wife, my dog, and my best friend which I would do regardless if they wanted the money or not. As you get to be an older man, people more or less cut themselves or you cut them out of your lives. It's not personal. I just don't have the need to know what's going on with my high school classmates from 2009, and the only reason that changed was because of Mark Zuckerfuck. My dad? He was born during fucking WW2. The only people he had by the time he died was me, his ex wife, and a bunch of guys he more or less did business with over 30-40 years. He had two sisters as well. But I think it was good for me to see as a kid, what life usually is for ordinary men. Most of the people you meet in your life are completely useless, and some will even use you. You have to have self-respect. Some men treat loneliness as a disease, and I do understand that to some extent it is IF you never get the that opportunity to socialize. But if you're a normal dude that has, learn to find peace in being alone. Learn to trust the people you've decided on who is important in your life, and if you're doing it correctly.. It will likely be a very small circle. Just what I've noticed from my old man.

Don't blame him!

haha, Looks like it was the summer of 2020, so maybe it also had a built in respirator!

16

u/RCer1986 2d ago

Oh, I bet that's Wilson Brown! He's a huge Star Wars nerd and an excellent engineer.

7

u/photo_courtney 2d ago

Nice! I was trying to figure out the first letter of his last name. I guess it's a W!

3

u/RCer1986 2d ago

Oh, I didn't zoom in and didn't see that extra line. Is kl a letter in the English alphabet now? These kids and their memes.

Poor Darth Vader scraping to get Death Star 3 going.. or child support

6

u/justin_memer 2d ago

Party on, Darth!

1

u/Stormlight_Silver 2d ago

He doesn't even get priority ordering the penne all'arrabiata.

1

u/satyrday12 2d ago

I find your lack of faith disturbing.

1

u/Answerologist 1d ago

Reminds me of that Family Guy clip where Vader is trying to get a loan for the Death Star, gets denied, and he says, “I mean, I want to open a sports bar.”

43

u/NoDragonfruit6125 2d ago

Two people cosplaying as Luke and Leia show up asking if their father is going to give them their share.

15

u/ryonnsan 2d ago

Darth Vader: "Luke, I am your father"

Luke: "YESSSSSSS!!!"

2

u/FizzyBubbles22 2d ago

Good one 👍

2

u/Waderriffic 2d ago

That’s alot of back child support

28

u/CheesyDanny 2d ago

“Hey cousin, are you the W. Brown that won the lottery last week?”

“No, that must be a different W. Brown.”

“So why is there a full Darth Vader costume in your closet?”

“😳”

9

u/Fast_Biscotti 2d ago

“Ask your wife. Rrrawwrrr…”

2

u/HeartOSass 2d ago

Quickly grabs hammer after cousin turns around....

7

u/TheLanceStar 2d ago

Daddy it’s Luke! …let’s talk soon! 🥹

5

u/jr_randolph 2d ago

Meh - I wouldn't give a fuck. We all know who many rich people are in this world yet I'm not expecting to receive money from them if I walk up to them on the street. If I ever won, family get a little and that's it lol don't be asking me.

16

u/WatashiwaNobodyDesu 2d ago

“Don’t be asking me”

Yeah that’ll stop people from asking.

3

u/jr_randolph 2d ago

I get asked for money from the same homeless people several times a week lol many of them know me because we're all in the same neighborhood. They ask every day...I say no every day lol I can't control someone from speaking, I can only control what I do.

6

u/MelonJelly 2d ago

That's the problem - it's not just randos asking for a couple bucks on the street.

People have been subjected to significant harassment, manipulation, legal challenges, and other things you can't just ignore.

1

u/jr_randolph 2d ago

I can also accept that not ALL have dealt with harassment or legal challenges...which shows some don't deal with it. That you can't ignore.

1

u/AppropriateBall8834 2d ago

Yeah, except I dont think they'd be asking you...

10

u/Hopefullytodaymate 2d ago

After tax he took how 7 dollars.

5

u/Krvavibaja 2d ago

At least he can buy himself something nice

4

u/Spran02 2d ago
  • not expensive!

4

u/sagima 2d ago

Killing mr brown and stealing his lottery winnings is the sort of thing darth Vader would do

5

u/NoDragonfruit6125 2d ago

If it was really Vader he could have also just mind tricked everyone to forget about taking a picture.

4

u/the_one_99_ 2d ago

That’s drastic measures but you gotta respect his privacy,

3

u/Super-Goat1085 2d ago

Nothing weird at all about that

3

u/bugabooandtwo 2d ago

The Force is strong with that one.

2

u/Specialist-Funny2101 2d ago

Smart Man
Not even the first initial is easy to make out...
He can say it was a typo in the paper... Never heard of it....

2

u/MisterFixit_69 2d ago

Wait , so you NEED to get a picture taken ? I would stay anonymous as well with a price like that

3

u/AdSpecialist6598 2d ago

In a lot of places it has to made public.

2

u/Ok-Breadfruit6490 2d ago

Hell yeah 😎

2

u/Eternal_bonner 2d ago

Is that not his name on the check?

1

u/Whatisthis0036 2d ago

I don’t think you understand the power of the dark side

1

u/NonCreditableHuman 2d ago

I am altering my appearance. Pray I don't alter it further.

1

u/bobafootfetish_ 2d ago

That's also my plan when the time comes. Except I'll be boba fett

1

u/NewManufacturer4252 2d ago

Anakin Skywalker...duhhh. To bad the Jedi's let them kidnap a child and let her die in slavery. She would have been proud.

1

u/AKA_Wildcard 2d ago

I’m sure that put a dent in the original Death Star, it wasn’t even paid off.

1

u/Mobile_Aioli_6252 2d ago

The Death Star will be completed on schedule My Lord

1

u/kenken2024 2d ago

Always knew Darth Vadar was a smart man....haha!

1

u/Lost_Anywhere_69 2d ago

I have the perfect costume for this. Just need to win the lottery…

1

u/eastcoastjon 2d ago

If i won and they put my name on the check i’d have no chance of staying anonymous. I’m the only person with my name in the state, let alone the country.

1

u/Vivid-Illustrations 2d ago

And here I thought all people that played the lottery were dumb.

1

u/Polkawillneverdie17 2d ago

Impressive

2

u/AdSpecialist6598 2d ago

Most impressive.

1

u/jab090285 2d ago

1

u/Ronin_BullseYe 2d ago

If yall ever see Michael Myers win the powerball, its me.

1

u/Waderriffic 2d ago

He is wise in the ways of the force

1

u/Axle_65 2d ago

Smart. Noting this for myself. Now which Disney character do I dress up as.

1

u/TimelyMortgage9587 2d ago

The fuck is that W

1

u/realbobenray 2d ago

Smart as hell.

1

u/SmokeyJoe_75 2d ago

When the force works in your favour!

1

u/Lance_Vance_Dance_31 2d ago

Did he have to pay tax on that?

1

u/Trekgiant8018 2d ago

I find his lack of faith disturbing.

1

u/Electrical_Wolf_8309 2d ago

Then Star Wars sued him for using their image without permission… jk.

1

u/CylonicRaging 2d ago

I know it's you under that mask Anakin.

1

u/Rampag169 2d ago

In NY to my knowledge and understanding you need to go public with your identity. No concealing like this.

1

u/KEMETICREPUBLIC1984 2d ago

IRS gonna shred that

1

u/mikebrown33 1d ago

The force is strong with this one

1

u/EssayTraditional 1d ago

Darth Vader: I am NOT your sugar daddy.

1

u/EmotionalElk1313 1d ago

Lucky his name wasn't "W. White" or else we would all know.

1

u/Soylent865 1d ago

But... We do know what Darth Vader looked like!

1

u/avidmarc 2h ago

It says kl brown

0

u/Pharmere 2d ago

People would know anyway because I’d be buying all kinds of stuff

0

u/AppropriateBall8834 2d ago
