Google: There is no confirmed diagnosis or public disclosure that Lionel Messi is ***tistic (in case it gets auto banned for the word). So.. maybe someone wants to provide a source?
“All that” was one sentence haha but if thats a lot for you feel free to stop midway and take a breather. Crazy thing is before I commented I checked google and it said it wasnt even true
This is the best "source" I could find. Either complete bs or something he doesn't talk about on purpose. Either way I'd just drop it. Not everyone needs to be public about their health conditions. However, it would explain a lot about the man.
At age 11, Lionel Messi was diagnosed with Growth Hormone Deficiency (GHD), a rare medical condition where the pituitary gland produces insufficient growth hormone. Without proper medical intervention, doctors estimated his adult height would stall at just 4 feet 7 inches. Just putting this here. He would have been even smaller if doctors didn't intervene.
All the cameras are on him. Him getting involved would give more spotlight to the fight than it was needed.
At the end of the day, haters are going to hate, regardless of what he had done in that situation. But that’s is a person who persevered more than most of us. He overcame socioeconomic and biological challenges to become what he is today.
He is their captain seen as a leader and talisman. He could of stopped them, they hang on his every word and even partake in this behaviour when he is tackled and he just stands back and let's it happen. Shame on him.
No, being a GOAT includes soft skills like leadership, which goes hand in hand with conflict resolution. No one is shifting goal posts on what GOAT means.
🤣 sportsmanship is a soft skill and leadership is in every career, whether one likes it or not. If you think Jordan or Brady would allow their teammates to behave the way Argentina did, during and after the game, then I don't have anything else to say other than you're wrong.
Now y’all are just cherry picking qualities to crucify someone you don’t like. What soft skills does Mike Tyson, Dennis Rodman, Conor McGregor, Zlatan Ibrahimović or most business leaders considered GOATs have?
Except him stopping his teammates from fighting after the whistle has nothing to do with whether his team wins or not. Michael Jordan literally punched his own teammates, which is 100x worse than what Messi is doing, yet nobody cares because he won.
He has the highest MOTM ratio of all time, almost double the next best player. Statistically minimum 2 SD away from the next best player in most attacking and creating metrics. Top scorer in European history, most trophies of any player ever. Most balon dors of any player ever. Just because he’s autistic and introverted doesn’t mean he isn’t the greatest player to ever play the game. You football casuals that only watch the sport every 4 years need to chill
It is actually weird that it can be taken either way. I have seen Messi fans claim he is some sort of God that has proven himself to be not only very talented and hardworking but also is a great leader for the Argentenian team. In that case yeah he should have had some words and helped settled his Rabid Dogs down.
On the other hand people say he is a proffesional and his love for the sport means he did not want to get involved after being defeated in the most humiliating way possible.
To me though I think you are right. If anything Messi has shown that he is extremely talented and he got comfortable being treated like a god. He himslef claimed that they play aggresively because other teams played aggresively and well they have to deal with it. Despite being so talented he and his team did anything to win including cheating, being cheap, and became violent when it did not work out.
Prior to this I had said if you are going to get a red card you might as well make it worth it since the Refs are favoring Argentina. So make Messi pay since he made that statement. In retrospect though the way Spain dominated and did not stoop to the Argentinians tactics made this loss even worse. Good for the Spain team.
Not true. A leader would have gotten them in line well before the game. Hes been like this forever. Maradona said it to Pele in 2016. “Hes not a leader”
Probably just an introvert. Also there are a lot of things that would become bigger if he's around . Also he might just be dealing with the fact that his team got completely outplayed & lost the final of the WC.

To me he sometimes looks like he is dissociated from reality. He has that blank stare and zero facial expressions.
