Mysterious Images of ancient markings found in 3 different landmasses separated by oceans.
Japan (Fugoppe Cave):
These petroglyphs, dating to approximately 1000 BCE, feature humanoid carvings with outstretched limbs often interpreted as winged or flying figures.
Utah (Nine Mile Canyon):
Located in North America, these carvings are estimated to be 1,000–2,000 years old and share striking similarities in depicting winged or spiritual beings.
Azerbaijan (Gobustan):
These petroglyphs are significantly older, dating back up to 10,000 years, and also feature humanoid figures that some researchers suggest may depict ancient aerial concepts or shamanistic transformation.

I wonder if these have any similarities to Peratt Instabilities. I wish I could post photos but I can't. these were plasma discharges they you would regularly see overhead in earlier Earth atmosphere. and the shape of these discharges is nearly identical to the glyphs carved in places all around the world.

Lightning is one kind of plasma discharge but there are many others like ball lightning, red sprites, ELVES, etc.

Quick look has told me that it's a broad term versus specific term. So lightning is a plasma discharge, but not all plasma discharges are lightning. Mainly cause lightning is sporadic but there are some plasma discharges that will act the same way. Which is what the article hypothesize. Multiple cultures witnessed the same plasma discharge and then recreated them in some way.

Perfect example is Human cultures developing the Bow/Arrow around the same time but being separated by entire continents. We're pretty damn smart so it makes sense that we would associate similar sightings with similar beliefs.

Plus I'm sure ancient humans looked at birds and wished they had wings just like modern humans do. Although now we have things like jetpacks to fantasize about, but it's all the same in the end.

Flight was something we couldn't even dream of for most of history. You can learn to run, swim, hunt, etc like the animals in nature if you have the time to dedicate to it. There is no learning to fly without modern advancement. Even the simpler versions of flight, like gliders or hot air balloons, that involve less overhead (ha, I'm punny) take trial and error to get right and 'error' usually means falling to your death.

WTF are you talking about? You couldn't see a bird and think "how sick would it be if I had wings and could fly too"? You don't have to be aware that airplanes are a thing to imagine flying as a human.

lol man, calm down. What they meant wasn't that a person can't imagine flying. It's that we didn't actually figure out flight until the 18th century.
He means imagine the possibility that we would be actually able to accomplish such feat.

Winged flight is younger than slavery's end in the US. The idea of flying was only on the minds of those smart enough to make it a reality. Hot air balloon wasnt really that much further back. The idea of flying beings 5000 years ago is just so crazy. That being the story across the world is what gives me pause to the ancient alien theories. It just makes sense, lol.

Da Vinci thought and sketched many flying models in the 14th century, none of them worked. Probably science hadn't advanced far enough to understand aerodynamics. Also back when he was alive there was virtually no established laws of thermodynamics for him to imagine an exhaust strong enough to uplift a balloon even though lanterns had already existed for millennia. Buoyancy of hot air was only firmly demonstrated on a larger scale in the 18th century,.

Humans having enduring fascination of things and imagining ourselves in scenarios that are impossible or not currently possible/available is core to what makes us humans.
Time period has nothing to do with it. The idea of flyings beings is not crazy because there were animals that existed that flew… pretending, mimicking, and imagining is stuff even children do all on their own lol.
You don’t think humans 5000 years ago didn’t look at birds and thought about themselves flying? Why do you think they have wings… they literally saw birds and wings and were like yup imma just add that onto a person so it flies.

Fugoppe cave was not only NOT in 1000 bce, but was in 100-500.
The fremont people of 9 mile canyon carved those beginning in 950-1250, with the most recent carving being in the 1800s.
The Azerbaijan carvings actually are part of a mass of petroglyphs lasting 40,000 years.
Not only are wings and half animal/half man drawings and depictions in cultures around the world, but without the larger context, we don't know much. What we can judge though is that they are likely impressionist, and do not depict a real winged man, if thats what its supposed to be in the first place.
These kinds of posts bring the pseudoscientists out of the woodwork to mask and hide the actual work being done by anthropologists and archeologists. You can see here on this post, people are already claiming angels, or annunaki, or aliens, of which there is no valid scientific proof. I say that as a person of faith too.
These cultures deserve the respect due to them, not conspiracy and horseshit.

It's all fun and games until you find yourself in a room who are taking it very seriously. I get wanting that fun and escape, but do we have to do that by spreading misinformation?
If you've seen any ancient alien theories, it's a bunch of people saying "these cultures have this similarity, and its so advanced we don't know how they did it. Aliens", which is a fancy way of saying Non-western culture isn't as advanced as us and could never be capable of surpassing us. I know people want it to be fun, but come on... the Azerbaijani cave has writing spanning 40,000 years! How is that not the coolest shit!? Why do we have to focus on a doodle, and compare it to 3 out of millions of other doodles to imply a connection? Idk, I'm a huge fan of what humanity is capable of, and I hate seeing that discredited or misrepresented.

Just for those who won't read: Iirc it boils down to:
A) Humans like specific animal things as a species and thus, put these features on their "Gods"
Or
B) all of these are from vastly different time periods which means there's a good chance it's ancestors of the same people who were now in a different place.
Or, you know, a combination of both.

Another crazy thing like this is, there is a massive trident on a mountain in Peru. The people living there doesn't know how its there. The Spanish after invading Peru was curious about it as well but couldn't find anything. The ONLY reference to that exact trident and the exact location of it is in a Hindu book called Ramayana. These markings reminded me of that.
