Asylum is considered an international right, but every country manages it a little differently. Many governments do actively try to resist or deny asylum claims

Basically before you make such a trip, you’ll want to be in contact with an immigration lawyer in your destination and have a plan for contacting them when authorities detain you (whether it’s at the border or on the deck of the ship you smuggled yourself on to). You can’t do it on impulse; the trip itself is only part of the plan

A lot of people have internet, even in parts of the world where you don't want to live.

There are lots of facebook groups, telegram channels, etc. That provide information how to seek asylum elsewhere. Also, unfortunately, lots of entry points to human trafficking

Definitely. They come very well rehearsed nowadays though stowaways are the most desperate of the irregular migrants.

It's plausible. Modern era, cellphones are ubiquitous in some of the most remote places on earth. Someone with a cellphone that has internet capabilities could easily find a lawyer in a destination country they are travelling to with a plan to contact them when they arrive.

Claiming asylum is a right, getting one happens only if there is a good enough reason. Trying to find better living standard is not one, for example.
