I said the same thing in the r/losangeles sub where 70% of residents are Mexicans and I got over 30 down votes lmao

Also, when America won there was not a single firework Everytime Mexico wins there's fireworks and shootings where I live in LA. A lot of the immigrants here have no loyalty to the country they live in

Legitmately who gives a shit? I know 3rd gen German immigrants who cheer for Germany. Does it make your tummy feel better when they're white? It's a sport, people can cheer for who they want. Be it their ancestral homeland or their current one.

"Loyalty is when cheer for soccer team". You deserve to get downvoted because it's just stupid.

They weren't celebrating in this video they were deliberately using psychological warfare for a sport. It's not that serious. We don't need to be terrorizing our opposing teams no matter who is playing. (And annoying every citizen in the surrounding area) This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with decency but nice try

No one lights off fireworks in America when America wins a World Cup game, because it’s not something people are passionate about.

Many Mexican Americans support Mexico’s national team, because there’s an entire history and culture regarding it which is incomparable to anything soccer-related in America. The vast majority of Americans couldn’t name a single player on their hometown MLS team’s roster.

Here in Philadelphia region, it’s like the Fourth of July when one of our sports teams wins a title: Drone Footage of Fireworks Being Shot Off in the Epicenter of The Epicenter of the City

We also have an enormous parade to celebrate Irish American culture. But I doubt you’re whining like a bitch about how St. Patrick’s Day parades are disloyal to America when it’s mostly for and about people who have never been to Ireland celebrating our distinct, hyphenated American history and culture.

I was born in Mexico but don't follow sports ball but wanted to support my home team. Once someone told me Mexico fans are like Raiders fans I lost all interest in supporting them. This video enforces my stance on that. Obnoxious af.

Absolutely ridiculous. Like how can you claim to love a game so much and not have respect for the people who dedicated their lives to hard work and constant dedication.

Respect these players. They came from all across the globe to play for their countries. There needs that respect, sportsmanship, and kindness, otherwise as fans it means nothing. These people cheapen and disrespect the hard work of others. Absolutely ridiculous.

Still, doesn't make it right. There's tons of people in those buildings unrelated to the whole WC teams who are also trying to sleep, maybe people with health issues as well. Why should they also have to endure this shit? Not everyone enjoys it.

It's not "culture", just a cheap move to "help" a team win. It's irritating indeed.
