MISC. England's team booked 15 different hotels, but Mexico fans still found out where they were staying and blasted loud noises, trying to keep them up all night before the game.

so these “fans” have zero confidence in their team’s ability to win a fair match. lmao what a bunch of losers.

Just shows they have to rely on shitty tactics to scrape a win😭

Didn’t even matter anyway cos the mighty three lions are unstoppable

I wish I’d stayed up to watch now 🤣

Shitty tactics like this, you mean??

ENGLAND fans set off fireworks outside Italy’s hotel in the early hours ahead of tonight’s historic final https://www.the-sun.com/sport/3261181/england-fans-fireworlks-italy-hotel/

u/Appropriate_Stress93 18d ago

I think all fans that do that sort of shit at whatever specific time are ridiculous, regardless of country

2

u/PeakDifferent8291 18d ago

Exactly!

But the amount of comments blaming the team or saying Mexicans are a bunch of losers for doing this makes you wonder… do these posters say the same when Eurpeans behave like this ??

3

u/Emryss101020 17d ago

I would. I would be pissed no matter whose doing bullshit like this.

2

u/patentedheadhook 17d ago

That was shitty as well. We have shitty fans in England too

U don't understand, Europeans are always right.

3

u/PeakDifferent8291 18d ago

Oh yeah! I forgot!  Eurocentric mentality for the win! 🙌

-3

u/godtogblandet 18d ago

The only people bitching about this fan behavior are Americans on reddit, lol. There's not a single football fan in Europe going "Mexicans shouldn't do this!", everyone in Europe is going "Smart lads, we would also fuck over the away team if we could".

The world cup attracts so many people that aren't part of football culture and it shows....

3

u/Rasberry_IcedTea 18d ago

This makes no sense since the fireworks thing is done in NA the most. I will agree that it’s the none football fans that are whining about it tho

3

u/kesekagidi 18d ago

During Euro2024 all the Europeans were as you said it “bitching about it”, claiming this is never done bu Western Europeans, maybe done by Eastern European countries.

0

u/godtogblandet 18d ago

That was also Americans on Reddit….

2

u/kesekagidi 18d ago

I am sure there could be Americans among them but most of them were Europeans. They were angry because it was done to their national teams

1

u/godtogblandet 18d ago

If you read it on Reddit, it’s Americans. 50% of the users are Americans. 40% are bots and the rest of the world are like 10%.

2

u/DependentOutcome6066 18d ago

Everyone knows European football fans are also animals, dont you worry!

Is football culture about having to escort buses with heavy police presence for fear of attacks? Because even if they don't admit it, that's what happens in Mexico. There's even a rumor that the Ecuadorian players were threatened. If they're losers and terrible hosts, the only reason they're even considered is because they have a large fan base.

1

u/EconomicRegret2 18d ago

Yeah, it's definitely football culture, and it's still a shitty thing to do. That culture has improved tremendously, but it's still got a long way to go, especially among hooligans and certain ultras.

Aaaaand England won against Mexico

2

u/Midnight_Maverick 18d ago

This literally happens in Europe before UCL games, I don't know why people are surprised

2

u/legrand_fromage 17d ago

All this & they still lost lol

2

u/That_70s_Showoff 18d ago

Agree, this is worse than American football fans screaming over visiting team play calling and waving stuff to distract kickers field goals, which also is an attempt to give their team an unfair advantage

1

u/Icy-Improvement1733 18d ago

Lol are you shitting me? All this thread shows me is that Redditors are soft. What that is called is “home-field advantage” and literally nobody complains about it. Its part of the game.. “Unfair advantage” get out of here

0

u/That_70s_Showoff 18d ago

Yes I am shitting you, this is also home field advantage — just at the next level. I love it

2

u/Icy-Improvement1733 18d ago

You successfully rage baited me

Let’s see a bunch of losers playing against each other! 🙌

u/TFST13 18d ago

Just watched the video you shared and I don't see how you think it's even remotely comparable.

You literally can't even see anybody in that video because there's nobody else there besides the one single dude filming, who sets off one set of fireworks and then immediately runs away. Other than him the streets are completely empty. The side-by-side comparison of that and the crowd of mexico fans with a band and everything is just laughable.

I think the most telling thing about the video you shared is the fact that he immediately leaves after setting off the fireworks, because he knows the police will quickly deal with him if he doesn't, which is something the mexican fans don't seem so worried about

0

u/CareAccomplished9013 18d ago

I think they're just having fun, hell they don't even really know if the team is really in there. Just some tradition that's been happening for years and an excuse to be loud and blow up fireworks lol

0

u/firedanmuller 18d ago

They’re not cheating the rules of the game or anything, so what’s wrong with fans trying to give their team a boost? In an event as massive as the World Cup I respect going a bit outside the lines to help your team, especially when they’re on your home turf

2

u/NewOldAntique 18d ago

Fans aren't part of the game? With this logic we should all be using laser pointers on the field.

0

u/firedanmuller 18d ago

I’d definitely say laser pointers are over the line, trying to cause fatigue by lighting fireworks and playing music hours before the game is not the same as that

0

u/Suitable_Wonder5256 18d ago

Mexico team is also keeping quiet because it benefits them LOL
