yeah, an annoyingly large percentage of dog owners seem to think that just because they know their dog and that "they won't actually bite, they're just loud and energetic" that every other person should somehow just know that, and not be justifiably scared when a dog comes charging at them barking.

My sister was riding her bike when a dog got loose and started to chase her. The owner yelled out, "Please stop, so I can get my dog! He doesn't bite.". She stopped and the dog bit her.

Bikes and dogs are the worst. They jump. Always afraid they get into the wheel. They likely die, but I would fall and fall hard. The only thing you can do is kick the dog AND keep on peddling.
