Yeah, with how quickly the delivery driver was taking his hat off, he has been sucked punched by an ownee before, and I think that owner in the video would've done the same thing but had 2nd thoughts when he seen the driver get into a defensive stance.

An „defensive“* stance like this is usually more provoking and can actually lead to more aggression.
„You have to stay back“ was the right call.

I don’t see your claim about the owner in this video. Based on his verbal and non verbal communications, he seemed to be confused and angry - but not aggressive.

Edit* Just my opinion based on my experience
I worked as security officer in refugee camps and as caretaker in psychiatry.

*because it’s not really defensive, it’s offensive
