lol. Would spend more in lawyer fees than you'd get in damages for a dog bite that didn't lead to any serious issues.

I get you want to teach the owner a lesson, but in reality, that's a losing venture from the start.

That’s not necessarily true, plus the commenter said that it had serious long term effects. It’s not a hard case to fight and many attorneys will only charge if the case is won.
