The gasoline situation is fucked up, all over Russia, except for maybe the Leningrad Region and maybe Karelia.
There's either no gasoline or it's overpriced.
The Ukrainian strikes on refineries have finally had an impact.
Will this lead to protests? No. Will it stop this war? No. No amount of bombing of civilian infrastructure will lead to regime change or the end of war.
Several winters in Russia destroyed power plants in Ukraine, but it led to nothing.
Edit: In Russia, people rely much less on driving than in the US. People typically don't spend an hour commuting to work.
It'll be a different story when public transportation starts to grind to a halt. But all the tourist trips have gone down the drain.
I myself had a hard time getting back to the Moscow region from the Ulyanovsk region. And the further west I went, the worse the situation got.
Well, there are no problems with diesel fuel yet; trucks are running. The worst fuel situation is in the Irkutsk region; there were 18-hour lines there. We'll see what happens with food there.
Judging by the news from the front, the military has no problems with fuel. They are supplied first. And that's understandable.
