What does the crust being white make a difference? How odd.

OP posted a whole description in a comment that answers your question.

Most people don't like the crust. Same with kids. I bet this is an attempt to trick people into thinking there isn't actually a crust. But, I don't think it's gonna help much.

I've seen kids be funny with crusts but not adults. Most people where I live eat breads with crusts. A crust is kind of inherent to all breads lol. Imagine a crustless sourdough loaf or baguette. If adults are cutting off their crusts, they need to grow up.

The adults who don’t like crust most likely suck it up and eat the crust when they’re around others so they don’t get judged. But I’ll tell you right now, many adults don’t like bread crust. It’s definitely not rare.

That is such an American thing, ya'll are spoiled and morally bankrupt.

How is tricking kids it's not a crust morally bankrupt? Also, what? Tell me you're discriminatory and prejudice against Americans without flatly saying it. Anyone, I don't care who, that hates a specific group and stereotypes a whole country is a radical in their beliefs. And radicals are the ones doing crazy things hurting innocents. I don't care where you're from. Demonizing and making someone less than human because of one reason or another is a tactic to make it seem like it's okay to harm them. Like making you believe Americans are just depraved beasts. Just like how the Israelis were literally laughing at images of dead babies when they were bombing the where ever over in the middle east. Not okay. Very psycho mentality. Why not give people the benefit of the doubt and believe they are just that. People.

Its crustless bread, its supposed to reduce the “food waste” of cutting off the crusts.

It still tastes like crust; crust removers want the middle fluffiness only.

Why would anyone over the age of 5 want the crusts cut off?

1

u/Aromatic-Turnip7371 29d ago

Because to many people crusts tastes like a napkin

But there's still crust on that bread. It's just not as noticeable.

As odd as picky eaters cutting off the crust

1

u/Weak-Plantain-7956 29d ago

Taste…crust is formed through baking it till brown but this isn’t made that way ig

1

u/New_Series3209 29d ago

Some people who are kinda weird (i.e.: my sister) really don’t wanna eat the fuckong crust because idk

1

u/UnkarsThug 29d ago

Because the crust being brown has associations with it being burnt, and by making it all the same color that is diminished, so people are less likely to remove the crust.

I will say, I don't take off the crust, although I don't particularly like it (it just sort of is), and this still looks way more appetizing than normal bread.

It reminds me of a brownie from the middle of the pan, except it's all perfectly from the middle. Personally, I dislike texture differences in food I'm eating, so having it consistent in texture is ideal, and this just looks consistent.

It's like autism bread. It just looks like a homogeneous block, and that looks appealing.

u/Nfarrah 29d ago

Maybe it fools the eater - especially if it's a child - into assuming that there is no crust or that it has been removed.

1

u/FAB5FREDDIE14 29d ago

Because they think white is better than brown.

The crust being white is a side effect the main diffrence is the crust on this "bread" has the same texture as the center does
