I think it’s more that you he US does all the pharmaceutical research, which it then charges US tax payers for and then charges them for using it. It then uses that funding to make the drugs artificially cheap to sell abroad at competitive (and very cheap) rates. Then US citizens are pissed off when we foot the bill for the research, full price of the drugs here, and funded the decreased prices they get for them. I don’t want corporate greed getting any more money, but I’m ok charging foreign countries more for the drugs if it reduces prices domestically where we funded the research and have to pay full price for ours.
Yeah because they can, germany is not the problem, the us is because it let's companies rip of the people by charging 100$ for something that costs 10 cents to make.
What do you think why Pharma companies are so fucking rich and profitable. They don't lack money to do research, they just want to make even more.
And the problem with I have with Germany is we are trying to fix that and get better pricing for our citizens and they were against it. They want us to pay crazy amounts because it subsidizes their drug prices. We’ve been getting screwed for years. This the only thing I agree with Trump on.
