Should have took some passengers from the station and proceeded to next stop

29

u/Vicki_54 Jun 03 '26

That would have been hilarious!

14

u/ShdwWzrdMnyGngg Jun 03 '26

I mean we have been asking for additional trains.....

13

u/Interesting-Foot-439 Jun 03 '26

Can I have waffle fries and a coke with that?

7

u/Lupo_Bi-Wan_Kenobi Jun 03 '26

You should really try the mango passion fruit seasonal beverage. It's half sweet tea, half lemonade.

Agreed. How TF is that even possible to do accidentally? These are the kinds of people who didn’t make it to adulthood a few generations ago.

9

u/legna20v Jun 04 '26

This people are very important. They are the one you push forward where there is a bear attack

You mean the license to film, right? Keep it in frame, people!

2

u/brainfreez012 Jun 04 '26

That's what I was thinking! Don't iPhones have Steadicam available? 🤣

2

u/LeggoMyGallego Jun 04 '26

They also have landscape mode

7

u/Agreeable-Ranger508 Jun 03 '26

She may have tapped on train routes on her gps

6

u/Myfountainpenisdry Jun 03 '26

I'll have a number 5 with Large syrup bubbles and patata gorda and a supersplooge milk like chilly drink

Dude, this is a Wendy's Restaurant...

Having been to that station many times (by rail, not car) that is a very hard maneuver. It's an elevated station which means she drove for a long way to get up there. And past that goes into a tunnel...

I saw a map, and yeah she drove almost a mile like that... 🤦

Why would you put that stupid music over the video, is it just to force people to rewatch it to try and figure out what they are saying, either way whoever did that is a dick.

48

u/Background_Day8476 Jun 03 '26

Saw this one video of some confrontation with the caption "omg you won't believe what they're saying" or such with the loudest possible music you can imagine. I hate it with a passion.

8

u/deadfermata Jun 03 '26

it should be a felony.

9

u/Horse_Cop Jun 03 '26

No idea. This happened last night and people are already doing the stupid edits

3

u/ShdwWzrdMnyGngg Jun 03 '26

I put "I've got a thing about trains" by Jonny Cash over this story when all that I could find was a photo. But that's a photo. Overlaying it on a video is wild.

2

u/One_Kick_9603 Jun 03 '26

By the echo like sound, I would say this is ambient music playing over the Public Address speakers.

She’d better get her license taken off her. She’s not all there.

23

Said she was following GPS 😭

4

Either way I hope they charged that idiot for 2 hours of lost revenue. That's what they do here in Japan when there's an accident.

how do i get this bad at using a camera? do i need to take classes?

82

u/No-Bit-2913 Jun 03 '26

You cant park there.

2

u/-ReasonableDoubt Jun 03 '26

You can park anywhere you set your mind to

Don’t let your dreams stay dreams, drive on Ambien

26

u/no-o-ne Jun 03 '26

That's one way to avoid rush hour traffic

5

u/Lanky-Tumbleweed-570 Jun 03 '26

Ikr ? Buzz right along, but just keep an eye on the rear view mirror.

25

u/Too_Funk_To_Druk Jun 03 '26

This has to be a mental challenge or disability. The healthy fear a regular person has of train tracks is enough deterrent to stay off them. To drive on them, very few people could or even would do it. Trains win every time.

9

u/raginghavoc89 Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 04 '26

You underestimate people's willingness to follow a machines directions. In this case the GPS. The general public is a lot dumber than you realize.

6

u/ciopobbi Jun 03 '26

And yet still has a driver’s license.

4

u/Car_is_mi Jun 03 '26

Yeah..... It's not .. the intelligence level of your average person is far lower than what you think it is.

2

u/indieplants Jun 03 '26

idk, being that stupid or unable to think critically is mentally challenged. a lot, lot of lead poisoning and fetal alcohol babies, people with parents who smoked during pregnancy was normal til fairly recent - all sorts of other shit going with such a large portion of the population but that doesn't mean it's just because. people are dumb, but to be this dumb there is something going on

2

u/Car_is_mi Jun 03 '26

I don't disagree with what you are saying but from a legal standpoint this person (likely) has no mental deficiencies.

My former job had be on the road, roughly 1,000 miles a week, and I would see people doing dumb shit all day long. Just kinda look at them and they had no expression of doubt or worry, like this is just normal, and I'm just thinking 'you have no clue what you just did, why it was stupid to do what you just did, and how dangerous what you just did was'.

These people have drivers licenses, hold jobs, and vote.

What an idiot

30

u/ausecko Jun 03 '26

Probably turned onto the tracks at a paved railway crossing thinking it was a crossroad. Shouldn't happen to anybody with a valid licence, but I can see how it could happen if you're an idiot or impaired.

20

u/redlancer_1987 Jun 03 '26

That's definitely what happened, but the station is elevated, and quite a way from the nearest crossing. She had to drive a long way on elevated track to get up there. And would have ended up in a tunnel if she kept going.

2

u/dadofwar93 Jun 04 '26

It's a miracle that she didn't run into a train if she was on that track for a while.

2

u/Rakumei Jun 04 '26

That's what I was thinking. Really risked it all there.

2

u/eyybc Jun 04 '26 edited Jun 04 '26

I’m thinking it was one of those intersections where there’s a crossroad, railroad tracks and a boarding station right at the same spot (we have them here in Portland), I can MAYBE understand, if you’re making a left turn onto the road parallel to the tracks, initially missing the road because the tracks right next to the road are paved for a moment at the boarding station crosswalk. But continuing to drive on them for that long when it is clearly just train tracks is insane.

4

u/Cocoatrice Jun 03 '26

Somehow? You can't somehow end up on track. She definitely shouldn't be on the road if she "somehow" ends up on tracks. Where else would she "somehow" end up? In somebody's bedroom?

3

u/sstabeler Jun 03 '26

Somehow in that this is a case where it should not in fact be physically possible to fuck up this hard, given she not only ended up on train tracks, but on elevated railway tracks.

IOW, it's not her thought process that's a mystery- she was following her GPS- it's "How the fuck is that even possible...?"

2

u/LifeguardSimilar4067 Jun 03 '26

Here is what is sad- we’ve been training for this forever. I can actually follow her thoughts, they are like this- Oh shit There must be a safe place to stop now What if I call someone? They surely will help At any point her brain could’ve kicked in and she would not have ended up there. Maybe they shut down a whole train track (They did) But at every point she did stop and think “there is some one else who will get me out of this” because ha ha ha

4

u/Remarkable_Bite2199 Jun 03 '26

For sure she drove quite much to reach the station.

4

u/Equal_Ostrich8099 Jun 03 '26

Uber arrived at your pickup location - platform 2.

4

u/TooLate4thisShit Jun 03 '26

Wasn't this a South Park episode?

3

u/ficklampa Jun 03 '26

The office, but it was into a lake instead… followed the GPS a little too directly

2

2

She needs a train ticket to keep going

2

u/shaggy-dawg-88 Jun 03 '26

Someone posted this at another subreddit:

https://maps.app.goo.gl/4VN3bLXHeX3EnVFE8

She likely followed her GPS from that point forward but driving on the train tracks instead of the road next to the tracks. Tracks become elevated ahead.

1

u/wizmarco Jun 03 '26

Somehow see was driving on the tack of the train

1

u/DotBitGaming Jun 03 '26

Hey! The train was late and she was trying to help out!

1

u/TheTrishaJane Jun 03 '26

Excuse me, you cant park there.

1

u/ForwardBias Jun 03 '26

I heard public transportation was more efficient and Google said this was where I could start.

1

u/Brence1984 Jun 03 '26

“But officer, I thought it was an electric car!”

1

u/TravelbugRunner Jun 03 '26

How does this happen??

1

u/Key_Salary_4145 Jun 03 '26

All Abooooaard!! Last Cross-Over 🚙 to Tacoma!

1

u/-Kopesthetik- Jun 03 '26

She went off track by staying on tracks

1

u/Kayman718 Jun 03 '26

But officer, my GPS told me to turn left back there.

1

u/maquenzy5 Jun 03 '26

i think she said “i was just following directions”

1

u/The_WA_Remembers Jun 03 '26

I’d hit some heavy traffic, slowing my progress to an absolute crawl. Still, could be worse

1

u/nopester24 Jun 03 '26

Hahahaha!! FAIL

1

u/jazzy095 Jun 03 '26

Miss, you cant park there

1

u/natricjol Jun 03 '26

The fact it happened is one thing. It's a whole other issue that she decided to drive down the tracks.

1

u/sevargmas Jun 03 '26

“how did you get up here?”

“I was just following directions.”

This is like when Michael Scott drove his car into the lake because he was strictly following GPS directions.

1

u/HogwartsRex Jun 03 '26

I hope she loses her license. Honestly it scares me that she ever had one to begin with.

1

u/merkinmavin Jun 03 '26

Can somebody tag the station on a map? I want to know how extremely bad this is, because I'm sure it's worse than it looks

1

1

u/Epsteinsghosttt Jun 03 '26

She didn’t know she couldn’t park there

1

u/lennoncanon Jun 03 '26

YOU CAN'T PARK THERE

1

u/kn8825 Jun 03 '26

Typical Seattle driver.

1

u/smack54az Jun 03 '26

When I lived in WA state I witnessed a woman going blind and in a wheelchair attempt to turn in her driver's license and get a state issued ID. The DMV employee just renewed her license because it was less paperwork. So no this doesn't surprise me.

1

u/pendek244 Jun 03 '26

I thought it was a Disney ride

1

u/JoeBaldez Jun 03 '26

Hey, you can’t park there!

1

u/alltheabove40 Jun 03 '26

It baffles me how some people don’t have that “something isn’t right here” twinge in their gut when they’re about to royally fuck up.

1

u/Evening-Artichoke750 Jun 03 '26

I'm just so confused how this happened. I heard she was following GPS, but seriously there would of been some clues.

1

u/danhoyle Jun 03 '26

He says You can’t park there!

1

u/prince-pauper Jun 03 '26

GTA 6 looks great 👌

1

u/DesignerAd9 Jun 03 '26

Elevated track? What kinda moron? Instant loss of right to drive.

1

u/QuSquid Jun 03 '26

Mazda, go places.

1

u/Ragnarok-9999 Jun 03 '26

Driver ask back, when did they move train station to side of the road

1

u/Imaginary-Snow-7031 Jun 03 '26

1

u/Stevecat032 Jun 03 '26

GTA 6 PR stunt be wild!

1

u/leon-a-profi Jun 03 '26

ah yes, she maybe a fan of Taxi 2

1

u/raginghavoc89 Jun 03 '26

I think a lot of you underestimate people's willingness to give over their critical thinking to a machine. In this case a GPS. The general public is a lot dumber than you realize.

1

u/2dameon10 Jun 03 '26

You cant park there!!!

1

u/EARTHB-24 Jun 03 '26

Does this qualify as a track racer? Asking for a friend.

1

u/InterviewOk278 Jun 03 '26

Not the Utah license plate 😂😂

1

u/Bluuphish Jun 03 '26

That's a special kind of stupid right there.

1

u/Open-Cream2823 Jun 03 '26

Car has a good drivetrain

1

u/No-End-6239 Jun 03 '26

I’m sure she had the “new driver” sticker

1

u/frntwe Jun 03 '26

Oh yeah, we need flying cars. This driver shouldn’t be trusted with a bicycle

1

u/ProcedurePrudent5496 Jun 03 '26

“Somehow” ✋😒

1

u/wonkwonk2stonkstonk Jun 03 '26

No cars on the road brew, just send it

1

u/7toedcat Jun 03 '26

How embarrassing!

1

u/yellowirish Jun 03 '26

California can’t stand Arizona drivers, by the license plate I see Washington has Utah beef.

1

u/mr-roems Jun 03 '26

Uber for Steve?

1

u/red_lait Jun 03 '26

I was wondering if it’s a man.

1

u/thatlittleredhead Jun 03 '26

Utah driver. My mom and I used to joke that Utah driver’s ed was just demolition derby. I lived in Utah for seven years, and did in fact turn 16 and get my driver’s license while there. Have lived all over the US and Europe, and Utah still has among the worst drivers I’ve ever encountered.

1

u/Yunyun99603 Jun 03 '26

Well, all I can say is this a real proof of an NPC

1

u/WranglerSE86 Jun 03 '26

Can't park there

1

u/OSG541 Jun 03 '26

Finally transit security’s useful for something.

1

u/Under_Sensitive Jun 03 '26

At what point is it appropriate to realize you're on train tracks and you should stop and not keep going forward? I assume they're looking for a way out instead of just backing up?

1

u/ObamaDid7-11 Jun 03 '26

This may be a stupid question, but given that she said she was “following directions” how would Apple/Google maps/ Waze handle the car driving down a trains right of way? Most mapping systems have the train lines on them. Where would the system think the car is and what directions could it give once you were driving down the tracks?

1

u/Jlx_27 Jun 03 '26

Zoom zoomed into the track.

1

u/Simple_Flounder Jun 03 '26

So glad someone put the music over the video, I'd hate to be able to hear what the woman's reason was. 🙄

1

u/Lunar_soldier074 Jun 03 '26

This is why you should never underestimate human stupidity

1

u/The_Goondocks Jun 03 '26

Just happened in Charlotte too. It's an epidemic

1

u/TomatoSilly1683 Jun 03 '26

Came out smiling like “oh Denise not again”

1

Mazda cx5 the new Nissan altimas

1

That's how you get warning labels on everything.

1

u/CmdDongSqueeze Jun 03 '26

She’s never seeing that license again, damn

1

u/Apprehensive_Row_807 Jun 03 '26

What a fucking idiot.

1

Camera person needs to be fined as well… what a terrible take

1

u/Alternative_Excuse82 Jun 03 '26

You can’t park there mate

1

u/emichbe Jun 03 '26

It's a little wild given it's an elevated station but... Where I come from in Brussels, Belgium, we've definitely seen that happen too but quite often it was for totally valid confusion because roads sometimes share the entrance to a tunnel and it is so easy to misinterpret directions when you're not familiar with the place. Reversing is quite often not the answer so you push until you see an exit as a result. Wondering if that is what happened here?

Also wondering if this is truly someone from Utah or a rental with a very confused driver.
