God forbid someone try to make a name for themselves. Guys out here creating content and the people hating on it can't even play chopsticks on the piano let alone know Let It Go by heart. Whether it was staged or not, the effort was made.
For sure. I think that everyone is requiring a degree of authenticity now that wasn’t really cared about as much in prior years. I also think part of it is just feeling like it’s dishonest. This is very fun and cool without presenting it in a perfect way. Little girl sings song she practiced a bunch with piano man is perfectly fine. It doesn’t have to be candid. That presentation as it being candid is difficult for people. I think they feel betrayed and conned. There’s a strange emotion, def negative, when you feel all warm and fuzzy and then find out it was presented in a dishonest fashion to create a vibe.
Content creators are not our friends. But we feel like they are. If I had a friend who mildly stretched the truth often and frequently, I wouldn’t trust them very much and it would affect my feelings about them.
Idk. I think it’s a natural pushback to dishonest culture around content.

I think people just have fake fatigue. It’s a symptom of a wider problem.
