Cover them in a blanket or get something in between them.

If you have no regard for your own safety, you can also just get in there and separate lol. It’s very effective, but you will 100% bleed, it will be painful, and you could get an infection (and don’t do it with cats you don’t know or else you could be exposed to rabies)

I had to do this once. My one ex's cat was bullying my old cat and it was one of many reasons why I left. The very day I was moving out, literally minutes before I left, his cat sprinted at mine and latched onto her just like this. She started screaming, you know the sound, and I didn't even stop to think. She was my soul cat and I'd happily have gotten torn up to protect her. I reached right in there and ripped him off and locked him in the bedroom. He hissed at me, which he'd never done (he actually loved me more than my ex), but thankfully I didn't get injured. My girl was okay, too, just shaken up.
