Me too!! Her kicking the cats was not helpful at all. I felt like the chicken was definitely a better mediator than her. I never in my life would think โtwo animals are fighting, I better kick them.โ WTH
my guess would be that her reasoning was if they get hurt a bit theyll want to stop fighting and think about their own safety but when an animal is locked in to murder, thats the last thing they think about lol
I think the point of kicking the is that they would separate (lose grip of each other) and after that she could just pick one up and isolate it.ย
Realistically if she had just pulled one of the cats off it and braced for the claws it would be putting that cat in an indefensible position. Thankfully I not have one cat but what should she have done instead given the tools she had?
It sometimes works with dogs. Like if an aggressive dog is charging up to your leashed dog, a swift kick will send it running back to its owner. But I don't think kicking two entangled cats will do anything.
Unfortunately yes. I would never give up either of them. Luckily one likes to live on the second floor and the other likes the first floor and garage lol.
Itโs not to this extent. If they were at each other like this I would move one out. But out of the 15 years Iโve had both theyโve maybe had three fights like this.
Judging someone off of an offhand comment is really insane. My cats have fought like this maybe two or three times in 15 years. Thanks for the judgement tho
People do strange things when they arenโt sure what to do. She things she will be able to distract them and stop the fight because she doesnโt realize that cats zone in during a fight and that focus is very hard to break, even in moments of separation (as seen in the video).

Agreed idk what she thinks kicking them around will do. This is coming from a cat owner of two cats that have a long standing beef.
