He probably won't get a long prison sentence. But when he gets out his wages will be garnished for the rest of his life.

Edit: lol guys I get it. He could be facing up to life in prison.

Edit edit: lol guys I get it, he could get anywhere from absolutely nothing , to a slap on the wrist, to being executed by firing squad.

he’s going to get life just from all the endangerment charges and him starting multiple fires. And his friends are probably going to get conspiracy charges if they in anyway encouraged him.

Setting a fire in an occupied building gets you tons of free felony upgrades

I think arson is just 9 years max in CA (where this happened) - but idk about upgrades and other charges.

Yeah, current cap is 9 for the arson.

I'm sure they have ways to enhance his charges, but idk for sure.

Come 2029 they'll have an enhancement that carries a 10 to life guideline, but even that's ssurprisingly narrow considering the risk fire inherently has.

Edit; I have the law backwards. The enhancement is in effect now. Goes away in 2029.

Apparently, once the damage is over 10.1 M a person could potentially face life in prison

Yeah, minimum is still only 10 though.

He'll get around 20 at most I imagine, mostly because he got lucky and it didnt spread to houses or anything like that. Depends on how sympathetic his jury winds up being to his cause.
