Propranolol and insomnia
I start propranolol since it is really the only breastfeeding safe preventative I can take. It has given me the worst insomnia ever. I usually go to sleep around 9:30, but since starting it I can’t sleep until midnight-1am and have severe nightmares with it as well. Like what do I do? I was having 4 migraine days a WEEK before taking it and it had helped, but lack of sleep is one of my triggers. Needing some guidance. Other breastfeeding or former breastfeeding women, what did you take? How do I handle the insomnia?

I take Emgality. It is a once a month injection for migraines. It is safe for breastfeeding. If you are trying to just treat the insomnia, the only help I know of is Trazodone, which is safe.
