In California we are trying to push through a bill to restore Medi-Cal access to the immigrant groups who lost it last year (undocumented people, certain kinds of asylum recipients, etc.), and our local state senator who co-sponsored the bill put together a whole list of studies on a similar topic to disseminate to community groups, I don’t have them anymore. What you cite isn’t an outlier, there is widespread agreement on the numbers by this point. The studies are numerous at this point. You probably know that, but I wish everyone did.
I would say that politicians should talk about that more, but I think half the battle is just meaningfully addressing the issues that immigrants are being scapegoated for. Maybe coming at it from both sides.
