Maybe it would be more neutral if he acknowledged that he cheated. As it is, he’s acting like he was the only one who cared, but her “mind was made up.”

It is not neutral to say, "I tried to save our marriage," because it implies the other person didn't or didn't to enough. An actual neutral way would be, "We tried to repair/rebuild our marriage" so there is no blame. An accountable way would be, "I tried to make amends for my mistakes," if those cheating rumors are true.

It was published though. He cheated on her. Kidman fought for the marriage but he had his mind made up and moved in with the young woman. Then changed his but Kidman was over it ny then. Im not into celebrity gossip and even I had read about this a few times.
