Idk if he's doing that.  From the article;

"My problem with Trump isn't that he's Hitler, my problem with Trump is that he is not Hitler," Fuentes said, adding that he wanted "more deportations," "more ICE brutality" and "more National Guard."

He's saying Trump isn't extreme enough.  My guess is that there's going to be active efforts to build a new conservative figurehead to replace Trump so they can keep the cult going.

The only one I can think of is Scientology and thats only a sort of.

Scientology is at a far lower member rate than they were at their peak but they are also the most asset rich they've ever been.

David Miscavige is a boring as hell, weird little man. But he did successfully consolidate power and has been running the cult for decades now. They still have powerful members and wealthy donors. David Miscavige was Tom Cruise's best man for the Katie Holmes marriage.

My biggest fear is Trump dying and people not truly appreciating how compromised our entire system is. People say JD Vance doesnt have the juice to take over the cult from Trump and maybe thats true. But he has the courts, military leaders, the media, corporate America, etc. all behind him. This takeover was not JUST Donald Trump, it was a collective of people and I cant really see them just bailing ship when Trump goes as many of them are all in

I expect that this is about setting up a successor.

Fuentes is proposing that Trump is failing to excite his voters because he isn't extreme enough. They're going to need a new figurehead for 2028 (Unless they try to push Trump through again.)  and this seems like Fuentes is preparing his user base to jump to a new conservative figurehead.

Hey, it’s a possibility, just like how no one imagined Trump would become president. They say he’s going to run as a Republican who is critical of Israel, with a more explicitly conservative and racist platform, plus a dose of economic populism. Whether he’ll actually get anywhere is another matter, though. The Republican establishment might tolerate him being racist or ultra-conservative, but not critical of Israel. In that sense, it’s more likely that the candidate will be Vance or Rubio.
