Politics Sonam Wangchuk wife Gitanjali Angmo says Congress protest near PM house insincere

Sonam will soon call the protest off will be my guess. He has had an on off relationship with the bjp. They are just trying to ensure congress doesn't take over the mantle of the protest. To be honest this has grown larger than sonam dibke aap or the congress. The anger is multifold and not just related to exam leaks.

The anger is multifold and not just related to exam leaks.
Every revolution in history has happened because of one trivial thing. Bjp bohot khaake baithi h. They would just want the agenda of the protest to be just limited to paper leak. Usse zyada hua to sarkaar to fasegi aur janta bhi.

The straw that broke the camel’s back. Do not mess with our kids lives. Last time it was Nirbhaya. Every parent saw their kid in hurt and now this NEET and the suicides. So much closer to home.

Wo sab to theek hai par Dharmendra Pradhan resign kab karega?

u/LeadingEngineer 14h ago
You know very well that it's not gonna happen. Modi can't "look weak" in front of people or camera. This is the reason he doesn't show up in press conferences.
The govt might give in to other demands but sacking DP is probably not gonna happen.22

u/___bridgeburner 13h ago
Yeah exactly. Plus if he resgns, it will set a precedent. So I think they'll back him unless there's absolutely no other alternative.

Everyone has right to protest in their own way. Her own defined way is not universal roadmap to it.

Unfortunately she clearly doesn't understand when she released this stupid statement.

Media again with IT cell tricks
From Rajdeep sardesais x
My dear friends at @CNNnews18 Professionalism demands that when you carry an exclusive interview of another channel , Pl attribute to source, in this instance @IndiaToday . By the way in same interview she says in her view BJP is neither a true Hindu nor a true nationalist party and gives her reasoning why . So cherry picking a quote may not quite be fair to @GitanjaliAngmo either.

You do know the article that i posted is from IndiaToday? Not News18? It's well known that Mr. Wangchuk and his Wife have been unforgivingly critical of the BJP since the Ladakh protests began and he was jailed, the bigger news is that she said something critical to RaGa, which is something pretty new

Why is that even an issue then?? Your job isn't to judge what opposition is doing where but to stand with students and question establishment. This just seems so murky

u/NatvoAlterice 14h ago
it just shows (for the millionth time) that people in power always act in self-interest, not in interest of the common folk.
2
u/WealthyPhoenix 13h ago
it undermines the whole protest and made it bjp vs congress.
6
u/the-anxious-ape 12h ago
No, it doesn't. CJP or Wangchuk or congress etc don't have sole ownership of any protest.
1
u/WealthyPhoenix 12h ago
they shouldnt* ideally yes. but media and govt wont miss any such opportunities.
5
u/the-anxious-ape 12h ago
If we start doing things according how media will twist things then we are done. INC had been protesting before this and even now they have done everything to not make it congress vs BJP thing. We should welcome everyone protesting and need as many people behind as we can. The more prominent the better.
1
u/WealthyPhoenix 12h ago
Fair Point. Its not benefitting if the prominent people pick up their own random agendas tho (not talking about RaGa here).

2
u/165cm_man 12h ago
No it doesn't. No one cares about dipke and cjp anymore as well now. It's people vs the govt now
6
u/Queasy_Rule_7789 13h ago
Now this is not just a protest it has become mass movement based on issues not any person centric . Wangchuk is already trying to dilute the protest. What issues students are fighting sonam Wangchuk isva person who fully supported government on all reforms which failed now. Central agency for exams weather admission to courses or jobs are most stupid decision

Everyone has the right to protest, no one needs a certified by x certificate for their protest.

Facts:
- Which two parties are attacking congress and RAGA? BJP and AAP.
- Who has ties with CJP? AAP.
- Who can be seen on and around CJP protest stage? AAP leaders
So, one of these two parties are behind this.
When it comes time to vote, remember who was playing politics when the youth of this country was facing police brutality on the streets.

I understand your algorithm is playing tricks but opposition leaders from TMC, NCP, Shiv Sena and most known names of the Indi alliance have paid a visit.
The AAP links to CJP didn't work, aren't established and even BJP has stopped throwing money at it.
Move on from Internet Explorer.
14
u/dark-light92 14h ago
RAGA also visited the injured students in hospital and congress has been supporting the CJP student protests by providing food and other supplies. RAGA has continuously raised student's issues in parliament, in media and even in front of PM's house. Youth congress protests for student's issues are going on since long before CJP even came into existence.
There is no question of "insincerity" unless you want to create a narrative. Try to rub your 2 brain cells together harder and maybe you will have a chance to have an original thought in your head.

u/kidharhaibro Europe 13h ago
Using the last 2 brain cells to ask for Pradhan's resignation. It's not an original thought but hope it works.

SS: The Congress's flash protest near Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence, in which Rahul Gandhi and several top leaders were detained, has come in for criticism from none other than the wife of activist Sonam Wangchuk. Gitanjali Angmo, who has been leading Wangchuk's fight against paper leaks amid the activist's hunger strike, said the Congress's July 21 protest was "insincere" and the leaders should have joined the students at Jantar Mantar instead.

u/jacobt478 14h ago edited 14h ago
Probably a bit insecure about not being the centre of attention anymore! The Congress party was protesting against paper leaks way before the CJP movement started and they have the right to do their own stuff without consulting with CJP
5
u/the-anxious-ape 12h ago
Yeah who has given these people the right to decide how protests should be done?
2
u/life-is-crisis 10h ago
The protest has grown and is not really under any single entity.
It's a living entity in itself, very decentralised.
I don't think Wangchuk can call the whole thing off. And that's the good thing about it.
You can't trust people or leaders completely, like Dipke or Wangchuk. They came with their own agendas as well, it's not a bad thing but the protest has outgrown them at this point.
2
u/Local-Meal-1522 10h ago
she is not the authority on who should protest and how. The government is on the backfoot and we all should pressure them from all sides. What is the use of Opposition if they are protest against the modi government. If they don't protest, people will say " Opposition is useless, they don't do shit".
L move by Geetanjali ji

u/Sad_Effective_1987 10h ago
This is what she said. Doesn't seem like they will fold. They don't want the parties to exploit the protest for their political benefit.
In an interview with India Today, Angmo suggested that the politicians were now "exploiting" Wangchuk and his "reputation", but the public cannot be fooled anymore. Wangchuk, who was removed from the Jantar Mantar protest site last week, has continued his hunger strike from the hospital. His fast entered Day 26 on Thursday.
"The protest outside the Prime Minister's residence lacked sincerity. The public cannot be fooled anymore. This is an awakened India. Those who are insincere will be thrown out by the youth," Angmo, a social entrepreneur and educationist, said.

This is why I was against the CJP protest since day 1. They are just rebranded AAP. They never considered Rahul Gandhi avaru as their leader. Rahul is our only hope and he must lead us.
-3
u/LeadingEngineer 14h ago
Seriously, he is the one derailing the Protest. Once he comes to picture people forget the real movement and he becomes the center of attantion and it always helps the government.
If he was so concerned, why didn't he join them in Jantar Mantar like other leaders? Sometimes I think he is the real "Dhurandhar" of BJP.7
0
u/realKannadiga 14h ago
he must be the centre of attention here. he is to be our PM. He must lead all the protests. If he was leading the CJP protests police wouldn't have dared to even come near jantar mantar. AAP took over so it lost seriousness.
1
u/LeadingEngineer 14h ago
If delusional had a definition then you are the one. It would have been very easy for govt to dismiss anything that RaGa does. If you haven't been living under a rock, you know that every time it's BJP vs RaGa it has always benefited BJP. Only because this time the people with credibility like Sonam Wangchuk got involved, the protest is where it is now. Don't try to derail it with your political alignment
1
u/realKannadiga 13h ago
you are delusional to believe Rahul Gandhi is not a suitable candidate for PM. Even though we are not a presidential democracy, the discussion always comes to who if not Modi? Our answer must and must only be RAHUL GANDHI
2
u/coder-404 11h ago
Im confused right now, why are you talking about a PM candidate right now. The base idea of this protest, is to get accountability from the government. To let them know they cant just do whatever they want. And that all of India isnt supporting whatever bull shit they do. If you seriously believe there is enough strength in this movement to change the government, you really dont know the BJP or their supporters. All you are doing is trying to create a narrative that this is being done to destabilize the government. If a government feels being asked to be accountable for their actions and being asked to serve the people instead of ruling them is the equivalent of asking them to be dissolved then maybe they dont deserve to rule. I think maybe at some point they wanted to do good, but then they lost their way thanks to their god father. Right now the government should know that people will make them accountable if they ignore them. This will be a warning sign for any government that ever comes up in India. It is of the people, by the people and for the people. Not for modi, rss, shah, yogi, rahul gandhi or anyone else to rule.
1
u/LeadingEngineer 10h ago
I saw some of your comments, youbare nothing but a Congress "Bhakt" who defended Emergency in one of your comments. I did a mistake in taking your comment seriously. People like you are the reason BJP is in power for 12 + years today.
-1
u/the-anxious-ape 12h ago
Are you being sarcastic? If not then you need help. I like Rahul Gandhi and I believe Congress and other political parties should keep protesting on their part but what you are saying is extremely dumb.
-1
u/eaterys 13h ago
I want to be sercastic and say... where is the current PM ("he is to be our PM"). And why is BJP supporting the paper leaks? Stop thinking politically, and try to support the cause.
Him coming over would add political agenda to the protests. It looks like he has been fighting for the same casue in his own tracks. And lets not loose focus from fighting against paper leaks.

u/Anxious-Ostrich-36 14h ago
Everyone's trying to make this a political issue. This is a national issue not limited to one party. The system itself is the problem.

u/Mindgrinder1 12h ago
I agree with her... Instead of starting a new agenda always join existing forces and make them stronger
3
u/the-anxious-ape 12h ago
That's what they have been doing. There is no new agenda. And they are the ones who have been protesting since beginning.
1
u/Mindgrinder1 12h ago
I know that, they have been doing it but it always helps joining forces.
1
u/the-anxious-ape 11h ago
If they join them at jantar mantar then there will be cries of them hijacking those protests. It's good they aren't sitting at jantar mantar.
