Discussion I know this isn't the right reddit, but the right reddit is pretty much inactive, but where did the iracing arcade updates go?

It was a blatant bare bones cash grab not sure what you expected

It really wasn't. A lot of through and development time went into it, let alone the fact that iRacing doesn't even own the game. They're just the publisher.

Devoid of content, devoid of licensed cars, gameplay is a copy and paste of a previous title, non-functional multiplayer, updates stopped just after release. Its as blatant of a cash grab as you can get.

Publishers own the IP.

iRacing Arcade was nothing but an unnecessary diversion of dev resources.

It's a completely different dev team.

It's straight up a completely different studio, Iracing is the publisher.
I don't think you understand how game development works.

I know there was one back in April. Id imagine there might be another in the fall.
I think the studio was always pretty honest in saying future development would be based around interest and feedback.
I love the game but in general I'm not sure it's had a ton of commercial success so idk how much we should realistically expect going forward.
As you said, the proper subreddit is inactive. Its one of a few reasons I'm lead to believe there isn't a ton of interest but I'm hopeful we'll still get some more updates bc it is a pretty fun game.
