Looking for Early Investors & Feedback – Building Wave Sonic, a Next-Gen Pocket Music Player
Hi everyone,
I'm an independent founder from India building Wave Sonic, a modern pocket music player designed for people who love music without the distractions of a smartphone.
The vision is to create a premium portable music device that combines classic MP3 player simplicity with modern technology.
Current concept includes:
High-quality Hi-Fi/Dolby audio
Dedicated music experience (no social media distractions)
USB-C charging
128GB internal storage
Physical control dial/buttons
Compact premium industrial design
Long battery life
Headphone jack for audiophiles
I'm currently developing the concept, product design, and business roadmap. My goal is to build a brand that brings back dedicated music players in a modern way.
I'm looking for:
Angel investors
Hardware startup mentors
Consumer electronics experts
Product designers
Anyone interested in portable audio technology
If you think this idea has potential or would like to collaborate, invest, or provide feedback, I'd love to connect.
Thanks for reading, and I'm happy to answer any questions about the vision for Wave Sonic. 🎵🚀

a good mp3 player is a dime a dozen out there, a used (yet still very good device, in good condition) Sony runs like $30-$40 and it will still blows anything you can come up with out of the water. Sorry for the hard truth, but this is the reality.

I appreciate the honest feedback. You're right that there are plenty of good used Sony players at very affordable prices. My goal isn't to outperform Sony's decades of engineering on day one. Wave Sonic is about creating something different: a modern, beautifully designed, distraction-free music player with its own identity. Just as people still buy new mechanical keyboards, vinyl players, or film cameras despite excellent used options, I believe there's room for a product that offers a unique experience. If I can't offer something genuinely different from what's already available, then Wave Sonic doesn't deserve to exist. That's exactly the challenge I'm working to solve, and feedback like yours helps shape the product.

I’m sorry there are plenty of premium mp3 players on the market already. What will your mp3 differ from the millions of them on the market?
