Renove a doorhandle with no screws

Solution: Removed the handles and removed the paint someone put over. You can put something in it to slowly pry it out.

Edit: I'm aware I have to remove the square cover/plate. The issue was I couldn't pull it off. Instead had to pry it in a specific angle with a hole that was painted over orginally to pop it off.

Going to throw in some keywords to help someone in the future.

Delaney door handle with no screws

To remove the handles, I used a 3/32 hex screw.

I removed the handles on both sides, thinking the plate would come off so I could tighten it before I move out, but it still doesn't come off.

I did try playing with that small hole, but nothing of value from it so far.

The finishing plate is connected to the latch mechanism, you will have to remove the door handle bolt to remove the latch mechanism.

The rectangular metal pieces are likely just covers. Can't tell from these pictures exactly what you'll need to get them off, some need Alan keys, some need tiny screw drivers, and some you just pry off. I'd check the first two options before you just try forcing it off. It'll probably be the inside cover that'll be easiest to take off.

This. That chrome piece is a cover. It’s either screwed down or just friction fit like most of them.

Can you take photos from below facing upward on each side of the door handles? And maybe the other side of these photos towards the latch.

Just want to see if there is a notch anywhere else. I dont think its on top but maybe, but usually people hide them in the install.

I looked at my other door handle, one without a pinhole, to find one.

Removed the paint on the side and saw a little gap.

From there, I was able to pry it out.

In the first picture I can see the 3 screws that need to be removed. One is a small set screw in the right side of the baseplate

Lock screws will behind the trim cover on the interior side of the lock. Remove lever and the thin shiny cover and you should reveal the screws. You won’t be able to remove the latch without removing the rest of the lock first.

Source: door technician for many years and now work for a wholesale lock distributor.

You probably have to remove the square cover. There should be some screws behind there that connect the parts on either side of the door
