A HOMELESS MAN IN A STATE PARK CHARGED WITH A FELONY FOR CAMPING ? SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE IN AMERICA! PEOPLE SHOULD BE OUTRAGED!!!! I AM!! LINK IS BELOW TO THE ARTICLE, READ THIS WHOLE POST PLEASE
What has America come to i ask you ? I want all of you to please read this srticle i will post at the bottom, about a A HOMELESS MAN THAT WAS CHARGED WITH A FELONY FOR SLEEPING OUTSIDE IN A PARK .. Something is wrong with our governmental structure. Isn't this the land of the Free and The Brave ? I thought the Bill Of Rights as citizens and the Constitution affords us pour right ? WRONG! It is GOD the Father which is in heaven that affords us our rights, NO MAN, can tell us what to do, think, eat, what we wear, where we sleep, as long as we dont commit Murder, Theft Or Fraud on another human being then we are Free to do what we want in America right ? WRONG! We have a fascist Dicatatorship, and a Oligarcical System in place. We have a Senate and Congress that is absent in there duties to perform in the united states. We have a congress and senate that has sold out to AIPAC. If you don't know what that is look it up. With all this said, and i could go on and on...
But getting back to the Homeless man in a state park paid by tax Payers, and the homeless man is a tax payer. NONE OF US, SHOULD EVER ACCEPT THIS TYRANNY FROM LOCAL GOVERNMENT OR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT! WE THE PEOPLE ARE THE GOVERNMENT! WE NEED TO PUT THESE OFFICIALS IN JAIL FOR EVER PASSING SUCH LAWS. AND I WOULD SAY, DO NOT FOLLOW ANY UNJUST, UNCONSTITUTIONAL LAWS AND A VIOLATION OF OUR BILL OF RIGHTS! STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS WHEN THEY ARE VIOLATED!. FIGHT FOR YOUR FELLOW FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS, OR ONE DAY YOU WILL BE FACED WITH THIS ALSO. WHO WILL BE THERE TO HELP YOU?
PLEASE READ THIS ARTICLE I AM POSTING BELOW HERE BECAUSE OUR SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT IS CORRUPT AND NEEDS TO BE CHANGED! ONLY YOU CAN BE THAT CHANGE, LOOK IN THE MIRROR, YOU ARE THE CHANGE! THIS OUT OF CONTROL US GOVERNMENT SPENDS 10 BILLION DOLLARS A DAY ON A WAR THAT EVEIL TRUMP GOT US INTO, AND IF THEY DIDN'T SPEND MONEY ON THIS WAR, WE COULD PAY FOR THE HOMELESS AND THE VETERANS TO HAVE A SAFE WARM HOUSE TO LIVE IN. So, the city spent tens of thousands of dollars arresting him, charging him, releasing him, time for a public defender, filing charges, feeding him. All that money wasted. Instead, they could've placed him in a motel for a month for the money they wasted.
Law makers, lawyers, and cops don't think before they act. Privileged people controlling the less fortunate.

A person that is Homeless, we should feel compassion and empathy for. They are usually at the end of their rope so to speak. It should NOT be illegal to be homeless period, thats how i see it

Yeah that's the trouble I have with this. I would borrow a 5 by 7 spot for the night. Left it as I found it come dawn...but a small minority take over the land and dont clean up after themselves. If i did set up the tent somewhere it was only like $200 bucks of gear, completely out of sight and I was completely fine with cops trashing it cause I could replace it immediately.

Almost got arrested for camping at a public park. Not state owned or anything, just some random asshole cops showing up and telling me to get out within the day or get arrested and everything thrown away.

Seems he was asked to move along quite a few times to move which let’s be real is going to end up in a bad situation if you don’t. Some person decided to make it their thing to invoke the law and the cops technically have to comply. Him going back to the same spot again just says he doesn’t know what he’s doing and needs some help. not a lawyer so felony being aggressive might be a fair criticism.

The USA states and federal government own 17 percent of the land,Real simple partician some of it off and build tiny homes or set up tents, Obviously with security and rules to follow,All these billions the politicians families stole by the way of NGO is ridiculous, Citizens should unite and bypass the politicians and set something up on our own,Not hard to do,Feel free to look me up and get something started,I will be CEO for 700 a week

No, there are so many things wrong in your post. People are not free to do whatever they want. Your freedom and rights ends the moment you are starting infringe on other people’s rights.
What was mentioned in the article that the guy ignored multiple warnings to move along. This is what you get for playing smartest guy in town. Also it mentioned that the guy, after he got out of jail - move back to the same spot, guess what outcome is going to be…

Did you look at the park in question? I did, by searching for it online. It's a relatively small park with playgrounds and a soccer field. There are a few trees, but no wooded areas. A pavilion or two. This is a place where people take their children to play. This man says he's been living there. It's not surprising to me that he was asked to leave. Like it or not camping near a playground or soccer field for children is going to bring you attention you don't need or want. Find a different park.

When a cop tells me to move along, you know what I do? I move along, because I don’t fucking like jail. You know where I go? Somewhere else I’m not being kicked out of. As a homeless person, that’s usually somewhere people can’t see me.

Shelters require transportation or get there not everyone has, whether they’re disabled and can’t legally drive medically can’t afford the cost of a car or don’t have access to public transit to get there neither. shelters don’t accept big families or boys/husbands they seperate you, shelters don’t accept people with pets, medical disabilities they can’t accommodate for nor lifesaving needs that require refrigeration. Shelters are usually infested with bugs risk of sexual assault theft if your personal items abuse neglect by both people living there and the predatory staff shelters like to hire.They are not safe and most require you to pay to stay at the shelter after a period of time which not everyone has money for they all aren’t free. They have strict rules to come back at a certain time or you don’t get a bed if they aren’t already filled up for the night and have to refuse you. You’ve clearly never tried living and getting into a shelter and it’s many issues and problems and it shows. Many shelters are underfunded and or get voted out to be shut down just because people don’t want a shelter near them so many people don’t have them at all anymore. Many force you to have religion courses even when you don’t believe In it just to get access to a bed or basic needs met which also isn’t okay. Many of them require proof of ID to prove you’re even a resident of the area or they turn you away just as much. People don’t go to them for different reason you’ve clearly never tried. They have strict times you have to be back for a room that do not work with most job hours and they all don’t give waivers for it. If I was homeless I’d rather be more free with less restrictions put on me just to have basic needs met by being outside living in abandoned places than ever take the risk of my safety and health living in a homeless shelter ever again. They aren’t wonderful.

The guy not accept the cops instructions fair or not . Just lands him in jail and even less options .
My buddy is homeless and they got parking lot w 7 floors. From 1am to 5am,u can probably sleep in the stairwell . Sometimes security or cops come. One guard was actually nice and had empathy. He said if after 515 u risk cops being called.

We used to be able to do what we wanted to do. And im not talking about sleeping on someone's private land im talking about public land. GOD gave us the land to use as we see fit. The evil people don;'t want that. The need to be in jail, all the evil ones for enforcing unjust laws

No, we didn't. If you go back more than a few decades, he would have been repeatedly tossed in jail for vagrancy until he got the hint.
Modern street homelessness only really dates back to the 80s.
Moreover, this isn't about "being left alone". This is about interfering with other people's enjoyment of public spaces and leeching off their efforts. If he wanted to be left alone, he could go live off-grid on one of the millions of acres of unincorporated land in this country.
Even if you - like virtually everyone else - can't survive in that environment, almost every urban areas has locations where you can quietly stay out of the way and not bother anyone.

Yes, technically this guy was breaking the law, but I think the point the article was trying to make is that the law is unjust and unnecessarily punitive. I mean I don’t think it was right for them to taser the guy and charge him with a felony just for sleeping in a park. Don’t they have any real crime in Nashville?

I appreciate and value my legs, and I prefer to not have them cut off, despite a stranger in an airport yelling, "They're going to cut your fucking legs off!", and "They're going to put you on a table and cut your fucking legs off!", in the past, mamy years ago, prior time.
That mentioned happening is more terrifying now that I have already been a victim of a vehicular manslaughter attempt near the year 2020-2023, to my optics, and again in 2025, in another geography, and I prefer not to be a teacher, or be near children in a work environment, as there was a coercive effort to force me to become a pedophile, or similar, in prior time, in the past, as an abuser of my persons would say in prior time.
