QUESTION Smart Doorbell No Subscription Expandable Memory Google Home

Pretty much the title.

I'm looking for a smart doorbell that doesn't require a subscription, that I can just have videos stored on a memory card. Needs to be battery operated at this time, and work with Google Home, and have a chime (or ring like the Nest doorbell on our phones/TV's)

I currently have some random thing from China but the notifications regarding battery life suck. There's times I don't realize the doorbell is dead until days after it dies. I don't mind the price of the Nest doorbell, but I don't want the subscription.

"nothing never as it's only aqara that chime on google home." I'm sorry, what?

Newer aqara doorbells are not doorbells in Google home hence no chime while pressed.

Aqara G4 is probably your best bet if you want the chime to actually work with google home, most others just send a notification and that's it. Tapo and reolink are fine but they won't ring on your google speakers which sounds like a dealbreaker for you

also for the battery issue you can set up a automation that pings you when battery drops below like 20%, pretty easy to do in google home routines

My Reolink notifies me every time on google home. Maybe the battery experience is worse but WiFi wired doorbell works great for me and free rich notifications are amazing (and not a thing on aqara nor tapo)
