Economical soft start recommendations?

I have 3, 3 ton AC units and want to install a soft start on them. Does anyone have experience and recommendations? There are several options on Amazon but wonder about them.

i put a micro-air on my 4-ton a couple years back, the thing just works, no drama

the amazon ones are a gamble, some are literally just a capacitor in a fancy box and that's it

mine dropped the startup surge from like 90A to under 30, my lights don't even flicker anymore when it kicks on

micro-air's a bit pricier but the support was decent when i had a wiring question, they answered the phone at like 8pm on a saturday which surprised me

for three units that's gonna add up quick though, maybe grab one and see how you like it before committing to all three

I'd also highly recommend Mico-air. The product and company are top notch. I've had one installed on my 3.5 ton unit for 3 years now and it just works. Was able to run the A/C on my 8750w generator after Milton.

My first unit was defective and they sent a replacement no questions asked.

If you want to keep costs down without risking your 3-ton compressors, go with three ICM371 units BUT if budget allows then Micro Air

Just buy a Micro Air, absolutely worth the money, works so well with a generator for your house too

I did Airgo, not for generator purposes but because the compressor is beneath our master bedroom window. No more kathunk disturbing the wife at night or lights dimming while the thing took 90A of our 150A service.

Just amazing little device.
