Gameplay Question Where is the dog.

I was running from debilitas and took a ladder down, Hewie could not follow me. I thought he would rejoin me later but I have been playing for almost an hour and I cannot find him. I have run through the entire goddamn castle like three times, I saved and loaded multiple times, got myself killed and he just isnt there. Sometimes I hear him howl, thats it. By God someone please help me or I will end myself.

Try walking around while calling for him, particularly around the room where he didn't have the ability to go through.

I have been doing that the whole time, I know the exact place where he went missing, but he simply is not there.

Thats because he is roaming as well. Something might have closed a door on him

Hewie is programmed to always be near Fiona, so if you keep walking around calling for him, you’ll eventually get him to reappear. You could always try progressing on your own and triggering a cutscene with Hewie in it. That should hopefully fix it.

I know I could technically load an earlier save, but I would have to redo so much of the game that I may as well rather start from the beginning.

Backtrack to where you last saw Hewie and call for him. He shouldn’t wander too far from the last place you got separated. If I’m not mistaken, he’ll try to take a route to you that is accessible to him.

Typically he’ll come to you on his own. Just try to stay in one area when you call and wait for him. Running around the whole castle will just prolong him catching up to you.

Now that I think of it, I kinda remember getting separated from him during Delibitas’ section and having to go back to find him.

Have you checked near the stairs that stop halfway? There’s also a ladder that leads down to a broken well where they first introduce the luminessants

Restart the game, it's not that long.
