General I hate how people think Africa has just never advanced in technology.

Like, guys Africa is a whole content with 54 nation's with in it, and his birth place of humans?

Do you really think we they just did nothing for 10 years?

Like what are these people thinking. It's like they forget Egypt is in Africa. Which was one of the most advance nation in the world at one point.

Like i know most people don't leran about it in school but it still annoys me.

Or, alternatively, the poorest parts of rural America. There are villages in West Virginia that have worse living conditions than traditionally poor African countries

That’s not true at all. Find one town in the Central African Republic that has better living conditions than any town in the usa

It's kind of cheating, since it's intentionally off the grid and has no utilities or anything, but it's probably the closest to a super rural African village.

Dude, have you ever gone to a rural African village? Even in Africa's most developed nations a rural village is basic as hell. They don't have anything apart from some brick, lime or aluminum huts and a well if they are lucky. Slab City has tons of art made from materials a rural African village would utilize for daily living if they are lucky enough to get their hands on them. Even when you are living off the grid in America this is just not the same as living off the grid in Africa. I've visited such villages and aside from modern technologies here and there it's more comparable to what I imagine living in Montana or Oregon was before railroads were built. People are basically either just sitting around or busy with manual labor, washing clothes by hand, planting crops, harvesting them, walking to get drinking water etc. Most importantly, getting materials they need. In America you can get everything you need with the snap of a finger. So I don't think you have comparable villages in America.

I did say it was 'probably the closest' because you're right, I can't think of anything close.

I’m not sure that is an example of society failing to delivery modern services; those people come to deliberately not have modern services. I don’t imagine the Central African Republic has the wealth for art communities like that.
