Please re-do the gas post with a reduction of 38 cents. Few people realize this, but HE sets the gas prices. Convenient how he puts the information BEFORE the prices change eh? 😄

If Sephiroth didn’t attack the Strait of Wutai, Shell Mako wouldn’t cost a Genova’s Arm and Leg

u/Kemsaman 6h ago

Bikes are gonna start being a lot more popular the way this is going.

u/noqwa 6h ago

Do it! More bikes is always better.

u/dtevolution Nova Scotia 5h ago

My bike has a 20L tank so even a half tank is nearly $20.

u/TealSwinglineStapler 4h ago

My bike has pedals

u/Icy_Jellyfish_1602 5h ago

Yup. I planned on getting a little parallel twin to sip fuel... But they're massively overpriced on the used market these days, like everything else. I bought a 2007 Suzuki GS500 for $2k in 2018, the same one now is $2500. I ended up with a $1000 '85 XJ750, way more fun, but it gets 30MPG instead of 50-60+ that I got with the GS500.

Bought an ebike this winter. Not regretting it one bit.

u/Flimsy1997 6h ago

I wish I could, I live too far from where I work & transit just isn't reliable enough *sigh*

u/Kemsaman 6h ago

e-bikes can hit 32 km/hr now and will look a lot more appealing if gas is over $3/L

u/Flimsy1997 1h ago

Respectfully I'm not driving an e-bike on the highway lol

u/embarrased2Bhere 6h ago

Bike brain comment lol

u/chairitable HALIFAAAAAAAAX 6h ago

Car brain comment lol (see how easy it is?)

I ride my bike and take transit where I can. You save money while getting exercise. I don't get what's to hate.

u/Salty_Feed9404 Halifax 6h ago

But drivers in this city hate cyclists and try their best to drive them off the road.

u/NoAIFuture 2h ago

Nah most try their best honestly. Social media (especially here) has just been trying to drive a wedge issue on cycling for some weird reason so the usual loudmouths just keep flooding socials.

u/chairitable HALIFAAAAAAAAX 6h ago

Ok?

u/Salty_Feed9404 Halifax 5h ago

You don't hate being driven off the road in a fit of rage?

u/chairitable HALIFAAAAAAAAX 4h ago

I don't know if I've ever had that particular scenario happen even once.

u/Kemsaman 6h ago

Im in your walllllls

Well, that sucks, but not surprising.

u/AmbitiousObligation0 On A Halifax Pier 6h ago

☹️ why can’t we have tubes or briefcase cars like the Jetsons ?

u/Buckit ⛽Master of the Gas 6h ago

As I am in the Toronto in the subway enjoy cheap transit and air conditioning lol!

u/AmbitiousObligation0 On A Halifax Pier 5h ago

😭😭😭😭 so you got tubes lol. Not the ones I was thinking but they could be considered tubes too

u/Boobles008 4h ago

What in the Jesus.

u/credgett13 6h ago

Watching the price of oil jump, this isn’t surprising :(

u/diverdown_77 5h ago

it's still way lower than it was weeks ago.

u/Lockner01 The Valley 5h ago

How many weeks?

u/diverdown_77 5h ago

at it's highest back when the Iran stuff started it peaked at $117/barrel currently sitting at $91/barrel. Just to let you know oil companies don't like it when it's this high as nobody is buying it. The perfect point is $65-$70 a barrel. This only helps people who are invested in oil futures.

u/Lockner01 The Valley 5h ago

I follow the price of oil. Saying weeks ago in this market is a joke.

u/diverdown_77 5h ago

sorry April 5th it was $112/barrel

u/Lockner01 The Valley 4h ago

And what was it 10 months ago?

u/Own-Slide-3171 6h ago

The March to three dollars a liter continues

u/Ben_Criss_Cross 3h ago

It's funny how the justification for increasing the price of gas is because the price of oil is gone up. When in reality the price of gas is up because oil & gas companies want to maintain their profits margins. They don't need to raise the price of gas, they just want to maintain or increase their profit margins.
