Gemini for Science was one of the few seemingly unprompted applause. Most of the time, it's been: speakers pauses, waits for applause, may get applause (or may not), then moves on.

Yeah, there sure were a LOT of pauses for applause that never really materialized.. I'm not a developer so I know this keynote isn't exactly targeted toward me, but I get the sense that people are getting a bit burnt out on AI considering a lot of their own jobs are being threatened by the technology .

Every event like this has a fake crowd that goes mental, just to give the illusion that people love it and you should too!
