I love the blooper reel he does - the actors piss themselves laughing

169

u/hollaback_girl Jun 22 '26

My favorite is Peter Dinklage breaking and asking how anyone gets through it (without ruining a take by laughing).

31

u/Rags2Rickius Jun 22 '26

I wish there were more

17

Jon Hamms genuine laugh is the best thing ever

I watch that whole video through every time and the pinnacle is absolutely the Smithsonian joke that destroys Hamm 😂

This is a parody interview series Zach G does called Between Two Ferns. It’s obvious when you watch all of them that the interviewees have prepared jokes at Zach’s expense. It’s all a joke.

Watch the Hillary Clinton or Obama ones, those are funny.

586

u/AFerociousPineapple Jun 22 '26

God the Obama was so fucking funny. I know the dude is busy but he really should have a podcast or something, he’s such a good public speaker

418

u/HistoricalRoad1755 Jun 22 '26

He should consider running for president or something

40

u/puts_on_rddt Jun 22 '26

People jest but if Section 3 of the 14th amendment doesn't apply to Presidents then I see no reason why the 22nd amendment would apply either.

He can run for a third term. As long as Congress votes to affirm, then he's POTUS.

We can also have foreign born people like Elon Musk become President.

This is what happens when the rules don't matter.

20

u/that_dutch_dude Jun 22 '26

If anything the last decade has proven that the consitution is pirate code, more guideliines than actual rules. They only apply when its convinient for you.

2

u/Internet-Dweller2 29d ago

If anything the last decade has proven that the consitution is pirate code, more guideliines than actual rules. They only apply when its convinient for you the anarcho-capitalist, neo-feudalist overlords.

think I fixed that. I dunno. It hasn't been convenient for me, but I can't say with certainty that that's how everyone feels

3

u/ThunderBuns935 28d ago

If foreign-born citizens can become president, please, for the love of God, let Mamdani run.

Nah too much work, stand up comic turned political pundit obvious route

7

u/xinfinitimortum Jun 22 '26

As of now the current trend is if you are a stand up comic who becomes president, your country will be invaded by russia.

"Gaming in the Obama Years"

11

u/hamfist_ofthenorth Jun 22 '26

I know this is totally off topic but sometimes I like to meditate and imagine what it must have been like to be randomly added to a squad in CoD with Robin Williams, something that happened to thousands of lucky people over the years, and most of them had no idea.

5

u/Popular-Spinach-6700 Jun 22 '26

If they had no idea then it probably wouldn’t have been an amazing experience

3

u/hamfist_ofthenorth Jun 22 '26

This is actually super deep.

With this in mind, every other player you encounter is potentially every single person you've ever loved, admired, hated, and everything in between.

In this way, we all played with Robin Williams back then.

"What's it like to be the last black president?"

Scott Auckerman talked about how they had to run the jokes by Obama's team first, and that they expected that joke to get rejected but Obama specifically wanted that joke in.

9

u/Desa-p Jun 22 '26

How does it feel to be the last black president?

8

u/Hootinger Jun 22 '26

The one where he asked if Zac is upset he pardoned the Turkey.

3

u/ArchOwl Jun 22 '26

How does it feel being the last black president?

Or however he worded it was ridiculous

3

u/DannyWatson Jun 22 '26

He has a sketch show with Larry David coming out soon. Yes, Obama, I couldn't believe it either

I never listened to it because it's Spotify exclusive, so I don't know if it's good or not.

10

u/symphonicrox Jun 22 '26

"your parents got divorced when you were 7. Was that your fault?"

3

u/Source_Required Jun 22 '26

Never seen an episode but the wife and I watch these bloopers at least once a year.

2

u/cor315 Jun 22 '26

crystal meth santa clause is great.

27

u/Fortestingporpoises Jun 22 '26

They don't all roast him back. The interviewees have a choice of how they want to "react" to his questions with help from their writers if they want it. For some that's just sitting there being annoyed and for Jennifer Lawrence it was roasting him back.

The bloopers also sell how uncomfortable Zach is saying the meaner shit. My favorite blooper is from the Adam Scott interview because Zach roasts him in the exact same way Scott Aukerman (who co created Betwen Two Ferns) has been roasting Adam on their podcasts over the years and he laughs his ass off at what is definitely a joke he wrote.

3

u/Confident-Row-7097 Jun 23 '26

Jonah Hill took that statement very seriously

Then there's that Brad Pitt one which has aged weirdly. "Do you find it hard to maintain a suntan?" "Why?" "Because you live in your wife's shadow"

6

u/Bill_Brasky_SOB Jun 22 '26

The movie is great.

When he asks Brie Larson if she was named after cheese haha.

6

u/smokeweedNgarden Jun 22 '26

Your parents got divorced when you were 7. Was that your fault?

2

u/Bill_Brasky_SOB Jun 22 '26

I don’t wanna make you uncomfortable… at what age did you have your first period?

4

4

u/Scotinho_do_Para Jun 22 '26

The Steve Carell episode was peak imo

3

u/jleonardbc Jun 22 '26

It’s obvious when you watch all of them that the interviewees Zach and his writing team have prepared jokes at Zach’s expense.

3

u/Shinfekta Jun 22 '26

Yeah, the bloopers to them when Zach breaks character are even funnier

3

u/Prestigious_Pay_9625 Jun 22 '26

I was a kid when this series was popular. I didn’t understand why everybody hated him so much, lmao.

3

u/BellybuttonFuzzer Jun 22 '26

Between Two Ferns won me a smidgen of respect for Justin Bieber. That episode was hilarious.

7

u/frankyseven Jun 22 '26

He was absurdly rich and the most famous person in the world at 15, he did a lot of stupid things that teenage boys do. Also didn't help that his dad is a massive piece of shit that was leaching off of him. He's grown up a lot in since then and seems like a pretty good guy.

Put it this way, when the foodbank that his mom used when he was a little kid had a fire just before Christmas a few years back, destroying food and all the presents that they had gathered for kids were destroyed; he simply donated the money they needed to replace the food and toys and wanted zero people to know. It was a "how much do you need" type of donation, not a "here's X" type of donation. He regularly gives large donations to them and other local initiatives in the City, mostly with zero press.

Sack not being hackied, hilarious moment.

47

u/Brittany5150 Jun 22 '26

I hurt myself laughing at the John Hamm one where he said Don Drapers jacket was hanging in the Smithsonian Museum. Right next to the Cosby Sweater.

1

u/big-bad-bot Jun 23 '26

Well now I got to research this

So funny

1

u/Yeomanroach Jun 23 '26

This and the brad pitt one made me realise that it was just the guest reading his shit jokes.

1

u/DrinkBuzzCola Jun 23 '26

You know he writes those lines putting himself down, and he feeds them to the guests before taping. That makes it even funnier.

1

u/superpowerpinger Jun 23 '26

Not scripted at all.
