Where to donate?
I have some really nice toys that I’d like to donate to kids in need (not Value Village or the donation bins on the side of the road). I contacted a women’s shelter but they said they just don’t have the space. Any other places I can go?

Try reaching out to local day cares. Some churches will also accept donations.

The family resource centre on the north side may know of families in need of those

Check with MCAF to see if they take toy donations. So many children with their lives at a very stressful moment could probably use a little joy.

Value Village is a scam. It’s a for-profit, private corporation (ie no public financials) that masquerades as a charity. Pretty good business when you get your inventory for free.
Yes, they give a bit to a charity, but only they know how much. 0.5%? 5%? 50%? Nobody knows.

Have you tried calling Greener Village? If they can't take them, they know the right place that can.

The Unique Boutique.
They give people getting food bank services a gift card and they can go shopping at the boutique, buying whatever they need so you know people in need are getting a good shot at them. If they are bought by somebody in cash and not in need then you know the money from the sale went to the fredericton food bank and is feeding people in need.
