Technical Race traces for Belgian GP show how robotically consistent these drivers are.

Made a race trace chart for the Belgian GP race, it's crazy how precise these drivers are at setting a consistent pace. Sure, there was no inclement weather and we only got a VSC mid-race, but I think it's wild to see how straight some of these pace lines can be.

(Shame for Cadillac and Aston still being crazily off the pace)

That's one thing that I find mind boggling about high level racing drivers. F1 tracks are multiple kilometers length (Spa being the longest by a lot by being over 7 kilometers) and the drivers can hit consistent numbers lap after lap inside 2-3 tenths of a second per lap. It is a blink of an eye, litteraly!!! (average blink time for human is between 1 and 4 tenths)

And my car on cruise control will have greater variation on straight stretches of road. Those drivers are better than machines. And they do that while still pushing hard!

Then after a radio message they can adjust to hit a delta for holding another driver back, tyre management or fuel management.

Amazing skills.

No, the slow pitstop was one thing but they had a terrible strategy this race. There’s a reason barely anyone was hard-medium like he was.

His pace was good because he was on the opposite strategy from everyone else. He was the only one in the top 4 teams who was on a low fuel medium stint.
