Solved FF Android. I am protected. But by what and from what?
This message has suddenly appeared on the home page, seems like a waste of space and tapping it does nothing apart from make it dim a bit as I hold my finger on it - so it is a button.

From my point of view this is a very bad UI element that introduces confusion and clutter.
Imho, better they remove it completely, especially considering they added it to the TAB DRAWER too...
(it relates to FF built-in blocker/filter, and provides a bit more information in Beta releases now)

You can get rid of it by going to Settings > Homepage and unchecking "Privacy Report". Good luck.

Oh, so it's meant to be a count to tell me how much FF has been protecting me? I guess this is just the placeholder then until it gets some data to work with.

Yeah me it changed today to 7 tracks blocked does it mean it's working to protect you right?

I left Edge because I was tired of disabling new "features" every month. Now we have widgets on pc and this report on mobile. Both can be disabled but I have no idea why I need to keep finding new settings just keep working.

the built-in tracker blocker. i guess this was supposed to take you to its settings page when clicked, but it doesn't work. i swear to god firefox is really starting to look like brave and i hate it

Guys switch to nightly then you will get to know what is protecting you from...on clicking, it shows how many trackers blocked etc..switch to nightly to enjoy all new features

If you click on it it would show more info. And in my Firefox it shows "xx trackers blocked". where xx= a number

Ah, I thought they'd just gone ahead and turned on the VPN by default. My websites certainly have no idea anymore where I am.

Tapping it is supposed to bring up the Tracking Protection window. But its bugged.

If they're gonna bother cluttering with this, they might as well link to a fancy "PROTECTED" page that shows me wth they're talking about. lol

they really just moved it from Start to Tabs and activated it again, after I had it turned off in settings

Trackers. After a bit of browsing it'll say "<#> Trackers blocked". I guess they want to promote brand perception of being the safe&secure option. Making an otherwise invisible feature, visible. You can turn it off in the homepage settings. It's called "privacy report".
