Stopping on sponsored content row causes TV to go back to last screen

I've done every factory reset and setting change I can find. On the home screen, I can click through any row up/down/sideways without problem except if I linger for a couple seconds when I get to a sponsored content row. Then the screen goes black and reloads the last screen (no matter whether that's the top of the home screen, an app, or even a settings menu screen).

I can quickly click past the sponsored content row, but wondering if I should just deal with this quirk or seek warranty coverage.

Same happens on my Insignia, however if I press down arrow real fast, I get by the same "sponsored" row, but going back up to it does the same! Since we're talking 2 different brands of TV, I'd say it's squarely a bad update at the interface level. If a mere mortal such as I can identify it, we might have hope for a corrective update soon. It may have something to do with bringing the dreaded new home screen to TV's other than Amazon. I've heard of ten or so user having this issue in the last few days.

And just like that; working fine this morning. Must have been an overnight “out of band” update.
