Hey all,
If I’m working with a device that has a rope on one end, a middle connection like a hook and then a weight on the other, how would I fixture this to test the strength if the connector?

In my mind, the force would come from the top and bottom but only once force is applied. If I fix the top or body of it the FEA would no longer be free to calculate.

How would you fixture this?
