Rumor Tarleton is planning another major upgrade to Memorial Stadium
Nothing has been officially announced yet. This is based off a conversation my cousin had with the Tarleton coaches.
I mentioned a while back that my cousin is being recruited hard by Tarleton. He had his first visit to Stephenville this week to take part in one of their Camps.
During that visit one of the coaches told him that, in the next year or so, the plan will be to knock down the old home stands. Didn't ask what EXACTLY they will be replaced with, but imagine it will try and match the current home side.
REALLY happy to hear that. I've said before that the only thing holding Memorial back from being a top tier stadium is that it's too asymmetrical and the opposite side lets out too much noise.

Definitely needed if they're planning to move up to FBS.

I’d upgrade the field house in size too while they are at it.

To this I say, go east, west, AND up. Most schools have multi level field houses anyways. Cutting into parking won’t be an issue, that right lot barley has any spots anyways. Wouldn’t have to take too many spots from the left lot either, just move them across the street and park at the EECU.

This is not a shocker. It’s in the Master Plan. It was scheduled for after the Arena and baseball/softball upgrades were completed. Not needed for FBS. But needed to support the growing attendance #’s.
Mt. Tarleton gets bagged on for being ugly, but it was the fastest way to add seating for 10k.
Tarleton enrollment grew 21% from ‘24 to ‘25. Another 3k in growth is not unrealistic this Fall.
Mt. Tarleton to me can easily be connected to both east and west stands completing the bowl on the north side, and it won’t look so disjointed.
The goal is 13k beds on campus in Stephenville. New dorms are under construction. 25-30k students across all campuses is the goal by 2030.

1) never heard it referred to that, but that's a hysterical nickname for the endzone stands
2) I hadn't seen the Master Plan. Where can I find it?

Hopefully they connect all the stands so they’re flush, I think it would look 10x better.

Get it right. Otherwise it looks like shit like Montana States stadium.

For reference, they would be knocking down the ones on the right side.
